Recently I have been inspired by a box of old photos I found at one on my Aunt's houses that recently passed away. Working on a family tree.

I am inspired by decluttering...my home, my creative space, my thoughts, my relationships. There is nothing better than finding ways to simplify and enjoy what is really important.

I am inspired by my 19 yr old nephew who just left for basic training in the Army. And I am and inspired by my sister who has cried everyday since he left. He is happy and excited and when she talks w/him she can hear in his voice he is growing up and she does not let him hear her voice cracking. He sent her a text as they were loading all the recruits on buses. I think there was lots of yelling going on and he was maybe a little nervous but he messaged his Mom, "Here we go...:)
I hear that phrase all the time but now it has an whole new meaning. That little boy I used to pack on my hip while his momma worked and we listened to him sing achey breaky heart 1000's of times, he always wanted to be a soldier, he is inspiring me. And his Momma and home, battleing breast cancer herself she inspires me.

Something that is inspiring me lately is the start of school. It is inspiring me to capture stories about my son and his first impressions of second grade. It is also making me reflect back on the previous year and how much he grew and changed during first grade. I am going to start a school album that captures all of this each year.

Lately I have found inspiration from the Proverbs 31 blog and the blog of the parents of a little girl name Kate McRae.
Kate is 5 years old and has a brain tumor. The faith of her parents and the strength of this little girl inspire me to knwo that no matter what may be going on in my life there is always someone who is going through something worse. And in this case they also remind me that we serve a God who can sustain.

Family is inspiring me this summer. Family picnics, seeing my cousin, my kids and their goofiness. No elaborate scrapbooking planned, just putting down our memories.

The thing that has inspired me the most lately is the dance by Ade and Melissa on SYTYCD depicting a woman fighting breast cancer and her partner supporting her. It was so amazing!
