I have a daughter who is 12 years old. Every day I see her maturing a little bit more, and I have been trying to capture these moments, as the next second she is back to being my little girl, a sad yet sweet time in her life, sad for me as sometimes I wish her to be my little pre-schooler but sweet, because she is growing up into such an awesome, smart,beautiful young lady! Kimberley is my inspiration!

I've been inspired by an old sketchbook from my grandmother who used to sketch a lot as a young woman. She was an amazing illustrator and her sketchbook is filled with drawings of people from the 30s. Its absolutely amazing and beautiful and a great documentation of the time period. I've incorporated a bit of that idea in my own journaling and artwork to make sure I can capture a piece of todays pop culture.

right this minute I am being inspired by my husband who is asleep on the couch. Our kids are working and at a concert. I think he has inspired to follow his lead and go take a nap on the couch.
