Today I bought my husband the Steel Magnolia's new recipe book even though it was more than I wanted to spend. Why is i for me? Because he will cook the meals in it and I won't have to. :-)

I've gone back to college this fall for a degree in nursing. It's what I always really wanted to do but initially chose another path. Now that my kids are grown, I'm doing this just for me!

Oddly enough, going to the grocery store by myself today. It was so relaxing to walk down any aisle I wanted without having to worry about the ticking time bomb that is my daughter getting tired of sitting in a cart. I think I'll have to make that happen again soon. :-)

I've just started journaling. I have done the blog thing but getting it onto paper and being able to pick it up anytime and just write random thoughts and doodles and ideas, has been such an eyeopening experience for me on life and healing and growing.

Went shopping thinking I was going to splurge on some jewelry at Anthro and ended up buying a necklace at another store for $6.50. So satisfied that it was a guilty pleasure just for me.

Hhhmmm, well, before we left to visit my inlaws this weekend, I took the time to get a pedicure and my eyebrows done so I would look and feel my best. I knew that nobody would ever know what I'd had done, but it made me feel really good just the same.
Thank you for the give-away opportunity!
