I just recently decided to take one day off a week from work for a "Janice" day! It's great! I spend the day doing what I want...getting a pedicure...reading...shopping...just watching movies. And all with NO GUILT!!

I actually took the time to sit down and scrapbook and LOVED it. I realized how much i missed it and need to take the time more often.

Hi Ali! I was feeling apprehensive about spending money just on me, but I decided to sign up for your Yesterday & Today class... and am SO GLAD that I did! :)

I went out to lunch for my birthday with friends. I took time away from our daycare and life. It was great!!

I've been recently playing with settings on my camera....so much fun!

Wow, I bet you knew you were going to open a can of worms with this one. Mom's have to really think about what they have done for themselves. It's not a normality.. I love Blanche's answer "Look out World" how positive is she, she sounds like so much fun! hmmmm what have I done for me lately. Well what constitutes lately? 9 months ago I had my nails done! Other then that like most of us it's been family, home, etc etc. I guess it's time to go do something for me. Maybe a walk in the crisp fall air. I like that idea.. Thanks for making me think..

We are currently re-doing a corner in the basement into my very own craft room (OK... craft/laundry room to be honest), but this is the first renovation ever that is for ME, to have some great alone time to recharge once in a while...!

I've started having Craft Potluck Parties, where I have friends over and everyone brings a bowl of munchies (as a food potluck) and tools, punches, die cuts, specialty scissors, etc. (as a craft potluck). I get the paper, embellishments, and ribbon that everyone gets to use and we all share our potluck tools. It's been so fun as a way to socialize, share creative ideas and techniques and enjoy my great craft room! :)

yesterday, just for ME, I made a mini book and a set of notecards. Wonderful fun. Just for me.

I bid on a catered lunch for 10 at a local charity auction and won. I enjoyed a healthy, hot lunch with girlfriends at work yesterday and it was fabulous!

I sewed a cute fall pillow.

Hired a cleaning service to come every other week to free up time for myself. I love housekeeping, but the heavy lifting, not so much - so the service will do all the heavy cleaning and I'll maintain the rest. Just for me, more free time, yeah!!

I have recently pursued a friendship, letting my laundry pile up, my house get a bit frazzled, and there's a bit of a need to go to the grocery, but it's so nice to find someone I can hang out with! The cleaning will get done eventually, but it's nice to not be tied to doing only that.

I hosted book club at my house and took the night off from work! Fun to rejuvenate with girlfriends!

Last week I got a coffee and headed straight to get a pedicure. It was a fabulous way to just spoil myself. My toes are still looking so pretty.

I picked my grandmother up on Tuesday and we did lunch. It had been so long since we had time for just the two of us. Fabulous!

You'll be tickled to know that the one thing I have done JUST FOR MYSELF lately is take your Yesterday & Today class. Being a stay-at-home mom doesn't leave a lot of time for myself and scrapbooking, and I decided this would be a treat just for me. Loving it, thank you!
