Journal Your Christmas Giveaway

The first time I did any sort of journal/creative adventure during the holiday season was Shimelle Laine's Journal Your Christmas back in 2005 (check out my December 2005 archives for more).
My experience in Shimelle's workshop inspired me to create my first December Daily in 2007 that was published in my Studio A column in Creating Keepsakes magazine. The main differences being that I set up the structure of my album in advance (trying to keep it simple) and that I wanted to focus on documenting the daily activities over the course of the 25 days leading up to Christmas without specific prompts.
It's a creative adventure I highly recommend so I thought it would be fitting to give away a spot to Shimelle's class this week.
One person and a friend of their choice will recieve a spot in Shimelle Laine's fabulous Journal Your Christmas online workshop.
Journal your Christmas is an online class that takes you right through the Christmas season, from the 1st of December to the 6th of January - the twelfth day of Christmas. Through 37 full colour prompts that arrive in your inbox daily, you'll be inspired by topics that let you enjoy this year's celebrations while reliving your very favourite Christmas memories, and you'll have plenty of ideas for making your pages with hundreds of beautiful examples from a variety of scrappers.
Instead of letting the holidays run you, a Christmas journal has helped many women take back their Christmas so they can enjoy and celebrate the magic of Christmas. Other class benefits include a printable Christmas planner, digital and printable supplies designed exclusively for class and a bonus guide to improving your Christmas photographs including easy-to-use tips from dozens of professional photographers.
To be entered into the giveaway please leave a comment below sharing how you plan to create a more sane holiday season (or more crazy if that's what you need). Comments will be closed on Thursday at 8pm Pacific with the winners posted shortly after.

I try to create a more sane Christmas season by planning ahead. I already have my Christmas planning binder set up for this year and I'm working on gift-buying. I'd like to get as much done before December 1st, so that I can focus on the fun stuff in December.

To keep my sanity during the holyday season I try to get a head start. One example would be my Christmas Cards. I make them every year by the end of November so they can be mailed on the first of December. It’s one less thing on my to “do list”.

We're not travelling this year to see family, Christmas will be at home with our children. While that might seem like more work, I think it will make life easier. I can't wait to spend Christmas day in my jammies with the kids!

Start early is my only way to be sane for the holidays. Already made my Christmas cards and started my shopping. I just want to focus on time with the family.

One thing I'm doing this year is taking time and enjoying every day. We are going to be making a lot of family gifts instead of store bought, they will be enjoyed more.

Well, we started planning for Thanksgiving before Halloween and I'm already well underway with Christmas shopping. I'm now contemplating the Christmas card photo. Starting earlier is my big game plan for having time to actually enjoy the tree and the season without racing around.

Lists, more pictures, more memories - that is how I am going to get through the season - Embrace imperfection has been my moto since taking you Y&T class. It does not have to be perfect, no one will remember the opps except me. Really want to start more traditions since we have no kids, just hubby and I.

I am already setting money aside for food, gifts for the nieces and nephews (mainly to help out my brother and sister that are in difficult times to insure the kids are taken care of), recycling old items with new items for decor, and making tons of lists to stay focused.
Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday, family, food, inspiration everywhere!!! No matter what I will NOT be overwhelmed!!!!

Sweet giveaway...thanks for the chance to win! :)
I'm trying to make my Christmas more sane this year by getting an early start on things. I have most of my shopping done already and am about to start on some handmade gifts, so I should have plenty of time to get everything done. I hope so anyway, lol...

This year, I'm planning to make a majority of the gifts that we will give to friends and family. I'm hoping that by planning out these gifts and making them in advance, I will have more time to spend making holiday memories with my husband and children.

I want to capture our Christmas for my baby who will be 16 months old in December, and start some new traditions that are for our little family and continue some old ones too. (I have to decorate the christmas tree with a large glass of brandy!) I love both yours and Shimelle's blogs and I loved Shimelle's Scrap Your Day project which i started just after my baby was born so it is a fab record of her first year.

I am planning to spend time with family and friends instead of a ton of money. Make meomories since my daughter will be in university next year and things will be different for us. This journal will be a great way to save the memories before she leaves the nest.

I need more advanced planning. I need to buy my presents earlier, and maybe even BUY LESS!
