Thankful : November 19
Tags:Today I am thankful for the afternoon sun that sometimes finds its way in through the window in my office.
I am thankful for the ability to change my attitude...even when it feels really difficult.
I am thankful for the gift of sight and the opportunity to take in the blessings around me everyday (those seem to help most when I need that attitude adjustment).

I love the sight of striped sun coming into the house...we're on the same wavelength as I just blogged about it yesterday in my sewing room! You're right about changing the attitude...I so often have to take a time out for myself, pray, recenter, breathe, and try again. Thanks for the inspiration today.

I am just loving your gratitude journal. I was JUST talking to my dad about humans unique ability to change our own reality and what a wonderful gift that is. He is going through a difficult time and is still very positive. I was giving him an example about how I have been applying for a full time position since mid 2008 and only recently found out that the online service I have been using has been holding my revised resumes in digital purgatory. I was so mad it made me nauseous. Then I decided Hey! This means I will probably get an interview soon. Now that they will get my last 3 years of employment history. lemons to lemonade baby.

I came across your post at just the right moment yesterday - at a point when I was having a particularly rough day and almost ready to break down into tears. Your post was uplifting and sparked a similar blog post of my own. I was able to give myself a much needed attitude adjustment and managed to enjoy the evening. Thanks so much for your touching honesty.

blessings to all who consider attitude - I like to think of it (today, anyway) as a framing or lens - good photography analogies, anyway - how do I compose my angle on today's realities - limitations - challenges -purpose - offerings and lessons.
Thanks for your words!!!

Ali,
Where did you buy the "note" holder on the right side (above the keyboard)?
