December Daily 2009 : Day 18, Day 19
Tags:DAY EIGHTEEN
One of Simon's favorite days at school happened last Friday: PJ's and a movie. I tucked the handout inside the page protector for Day 18.
On the back I adhered a piece of left-over wrapping paper I am using this year and the inside of a card that Simon brought home from school. Machine stitching goes around the outside edge. Letter stickers from Little Yellow Bicycle.
The back of the day before (Day 17) looks like this:

DAY NINETEEN
On Saturday we finally got our tree. It was a great little adventure. The biggest memory of the day is that Simon picked out the tree all by himself, insisting this was it.
For this day I wanted to include a few more photos so I created a fold-out section and added it on to the original background. Here's the spread open to the inside (each panel holds a 5.5 inch x 8 inch photo):
Here's a few scans of the inside panels:
And to the other side (missing the last photo because my printer ran out of ink):
The journaling documents our adventure selecting the tree and then the process of decorating. The cute little red accent is from Pixie Petals. The word stickers are old Wordfetti from Making Memories.
Here's the original for Day 19:

Hi Rebecca - we did not use the timer here - Chris was taking the photos :). I've never tried the continuous timer either...sounds like something I need to try!

I love the title "December Stories" - maybe that would help people get that there really does not need to be/should not be stress :).

Hi Beth - it's a transparency from Teresa Collins. I cut it in half (too small to go all the way across) and placed a piece on each edge. The adhesive is hidden by the photo-fold-out.

I found 3" rings at Office Depot, but mine is getting so full. I wonder if they make 4"? Ha, ha. Have fun.

Hi Debbie - I use a HP Photosmart printer that was right around $100. It's been a great workhorse.

Hi Brooke - I am still a huge fan of using my square punch. Might just do that for a day coming up :).

Hi Laura - "life is glorious when you take the time to look at it." Yes. Yes. Yes. This is why I do these sorts of projects - for me it's in the slowing down and paying attention that we see how really special life is...
