Sponsor Giveaways : Studio Calico, Memory Works, Lisa Leonard, & Designer Digitals

Three people will win the entire Home Front collection (papers, stickets, journaling cards, and FabRips) from Studio Calico.
The concept of Studio Calico began long before it was a reality. In 2000, while working at a local scrapbook store, April developed an appreciation for innovative supplies along with a respect for preserving memories. Thus, the concept of combining fresh products with non-traditional scrapbook supplies emerged.
At Studio Calico, we hope to encourage the creative process by providing the best supplies on the market as well as a community that is supportive every step of the way.
In the past 2 years we've grown from an idea, to a small boutique of sorts, to manufacturing our own products. As we've grown, we've stayed true to the basics, while looking to the future.

Three people will receive the lovely Word Of The Year necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
In addition Lisa is offering a discount for readers. Enter "myword15" for 15% off your purchase.

One person will receive the Life Documented kit from the new Simple Stories collection by MemoryWorks.
Your photos and memories are far too important to keep in a box, store on a computer or bury in a pile. We know life is busy and at times it feels nearly impossible to keep up with all of life's demands - yet alone find time for the things you enjoy like your scrapbook hobby and preserving your memories.
If you're overwhelmed with too many photos...
If you're feeling guilty for not being "caught up"...
If you're overloaded with creative pressure and unrealistic expectations...
If you're stressed because you don't have enough time to scrapbook...
If you don't know where to start...or worried if you can even keep up...
If you're frustrated with the process of traditional scrapbooking...
If you're looking for a better way...
Then you will love our simple and refreshing approach to scrapbooking!
MemoryWorks is beyond thrilled to introduce the new, exclusive Simple Stories scrapbook system. You can view our video here. Our innovative system was designed for scrapbookers of all levels who want to share their life stories and memories in a simple, yet meaningful, way - but without the time, guilt or stress of traditional scrapbooking.
Life Documented, the first collection in our Simple Stories series, is all about documenting a year in your life like never before. Our Life Documented kit allows you to share your story in a whole new way, while getting back to the basics of what scrapbooking is all about...your photos and memories. We've done all the work for you with our exclusive Simple Stories system - with beautiful pre-designed elements that you simply trim, add your journaling and then insert into pockets - along with your 4x6 photos - for quick and easy scrapbooking. No cropping. No adhesive. No stress. It's as easy as that - sharing your photos and memories has never been easier!
In addition to the giveaway here, we're giving away a FREE Simple Stories Life Documented kit, with coordinating divided page protectors and embellishments, a retail value well over $35. Visit www.mysimplestories.com for more details.

My word is simplicity. I am going to simplify my scrapbooking by focusing my layouts on the story not the product. Simplifying my layouts so that I can get more done in the time it took me to laboriously layer, carefully contemplate the perfect embellishments, etc..

My word is mindful and I started the new year just hanging out with my kids. Being mindful of spending quality time just listening to them be kids and really paying attention to the everyday.

My word is capture! My first action was putting together a mini album and using photographs I already had to get started telling our story!

I've decided that I'm going to set monthly goals for myself rather than get overwhelmed by a list of yearly resolutions/goals. I want to keep them manageable so that I don't get discouraged, but I also am going to try to challenge myself each month.
Thanks for the awesome giveaways!

Haven't picked my word yet, but I have been pondering it a lot the past few days. One resolution for this year, though, is to breathe. Graduating from law school in May, taking the bar exam in July, trying to find a job, etc... I need to breathe! Maybe that will be my word.

My word for 2010 is APPRECIATE. So many things in my life to be thankful for that unfortunately I often take for granted.

I'm still narrowing down my list, but think it may be something like relax, which I need to do this year as last year was crazy busy, so I'm hoping to be able to do a bit more relaxing with less stress this year.

Im using the word SAVE! This year I want to save money and save all our memories at the same time in my 265 book by using the mountain of scraps I already I ahve and not spending anything to ccompelte thsi album. That way i will also concentrate on saving the memory more rather than how pretty it looks - soemthing that will be much more importatn to me in ten years time I think!
Thanks Ali :)

I am still trying to decide on a word for the year; there are just too many choices! I am planning on focusing my energies in areas that are important to me and my family--focus is another good word.

Wow, those are some great give-a-ways! Love that Studio Calico stuff in particular! My word is PROGRESS. It reminds me that making progress towards my goals is important, even if the end still feels so far away!

My word is lean, I feel the need for less.
Less stress and more fun! Less of me and the ability to wear my "old" jeans. Learning to make lean layouts that still tell the story without breaking the bank.
Happy New Year to all!

I still am not yet certain of my word. There are so many things I want to accomplish that sometimes I get stuck & do nothing. The word that keeps circulating in my head is MOTIVATION. I want to keep motivated to accompish all I know I can do.
Ali- thanks for a wonderful site! I am new to all of this & you inspire me SO much. Thanks.

My word of the year is LISTEN. To my heart, to my head, to others. I am quieting my mind, stilling my thoughts, and living mindfully in 2010 - and it starts by shutting up!
