Yesterday I introduced you to a new minibook I had in progress. Here's a look at the finished project and a quick video tutorial on working with these mini line stack word art pieces (supplies are listed at the bottom of the post):

Throughout this minibook I used some of my mini line stack products from Designer Digitals.

Here's a short video that will show you how to place a variety of .png files on one canvas for easy printing. Click through to Vimeo to view larger :

The embellishments I used next to each printed element were from a collection of miscellaneous products that had lost their original packaging. This is a great project for giving products like that a home.

For the page opposite each photo I created a series of journaling strips that talk about each person.

Here's a look at the page when it was first printed:

I completed each sentence and then used my trimmer to cut out strips.

Love any chance I can get to incorporate some of his writing. This one I
scanned in and printed on the same cream cardstock I used for the word
art.

    Beautiful, Ali.
When you find an album you want to use, do you buy several for future use or just one for the project you are planning now?

Ali this is so beautiful ~ I've fallen in love with mini albums all over again ~ your clean style is perfect for my Iceland weekend trip so I sat down and got on with it today (its been sitting on my workbench since February). Thanks so much for the inspiration yet again.

I'm sorry if I'm missing it from looking at your supply list, but do you remember at all where you got the paper that you used for the last page with the "E" and heart? I LOVE it! Might have just been a scrap I know, but thought I would ask. :)
    thanks!

What a gorgeous album. Thank you for sharing.
One question for 4x8 photos, do you print larger and then crop them, set them up in Photoshop first, or some other method.

Hi Donna - I open the photo in Photoshop and change the height or the width (just one or the other first) to 4 inches or 8 inches and then I crop so that the other measurement is 4 or 8. Sometimes I do print larger but this time I did the exact size and trimmed.

Both :). Sometimes I see one that I just love even though I have no project in mind I will purchase it to use in the future. Other times I have a specific project in mind and will go looking for something to work with my ideas.

it's a lovely book and a great idea, but isn't one member of your family missing? you are a part of the whole, and maybe in ten or twenty or more years when simon or anna or someone else flips through this, they'll be wondering what _you_ were loving, eating, enjoying, thinking today ... just wondering where the "I love myself today because ..." page is. :)
