I loved everything about school! I had perfect attendance K-5. I loved how my teachers made me feel creative and smart. New clothes, school supplies, recess/monkey bars, home made lunches . . . . ahhh, good memories. I still love back to school time although now it is for my 7-9-11th graders.
Fun giveaway! I am years behind, so the elementary pack would still work for me!

Clothes shopping!!! My sister & I would hit the outlets to find the best deals with the $$ that Mom gave us for our new school wardrobe!

new school supplies! I could never wait to "break" them in on the first day of school. There is nothing quite as thrilling as picking out the perfect supplies and then using them for the first time!

I loved using different coloured pens and spending ages writing really neatly in my books! Hope you are enjoying Greece!

I loved getting my books before school started! Being the voracious reader that I was (and still am!), I would have my literature book finished before the first day of classes and then rarely ever had to open it again. I'd even read my history book!

One thing I loved about school, was that at school you were a different person. You were a voice. At home I was droned out by abusive negligent parents. At school I was an honors student, I was in an environmental club, I was an aide to international students on campus. (this was grade level schools not college) At school I had accomplishments and merits. At home, I was just a small voice amongst many.

My senior year in high school I helped with the stats for the boys basketball team I was able to travel with them (small school and many games were in nearby communities). It was fun.

I must love school - I'm a teacher and I love seeing the "ah-ha!" moment when kids learn something new. To me, it makes all the hard work worthwhile.

I loved elementary school because my daddy was the principal and all the teachers were family friends. I thought of that school as a second home.
