Early Tuesday Morning

Waiting for the bus. Giggling while being chased by Dad. Lily wanting to play fetch. Hot coffee. Orange twinkle lights. Anna already off with Kim. Bagel & cream cheese. Teeth-brushed. Hair sprayed with water to keep that "crazy hair" at bay. Papers placed in backpack and reminders spoken to give them to his teacher. Fog. Shoes on. Coat on. Fewer verbal reminders these days than in the past. Conversation about how happy he has been lately. Third grade. Subjects + predicates. Routines. Rhythms. Fall.

So lovely! I, on the other hand, am rushing through my day with ten thousand household chores to finish... paying the price of playing the Columbus Day weekend away!

A great memory! I need to introduce 'spraying hair with water' to my son's routine too. He now has enough hair that it's becoming necessary.

    Ooooh! Love the dusky ambience!!!

I can't believe Simon is already in 3rd grade....as much in disbelief as my son is too. Time is whizzing by so fast these days, it seems.

I wish I could do a blog like you, Ali. You're a great mom for recording their daily lives.

Beautiful beginning to a beautiful day! Always enjoy the snippets of everyday life here at the Edwards household. Inspires me to be a better keeper of the Sanborn memories.

Third grade... hard to believe! What a fine youngman Simon's becoming, Ali.

Ali, I love how you live in the moment. I too am working on taking notice on what is present and just enjoying "what is". Also looking at your picture reminds me that I need to put out my holiday lights and decor. Thanx!

Most of the mini-figures have come in lego sets. He's gotten a few of the single mini-figure packages at Toys R Us or online through the lego store.

      Orange lights are from Micheal's.

Hi Ali - question for you, now that I'm on a minibook high (thanks, BTW!). Do you plan to blog-share your album on the road from your Greece trip?

I'm not sure yet Jill - I might use it for an online class about creating scrapbooks on the road.
