Christmas on the block by Alan Man
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zCaUeiuSx0
It was recorded about 20 years ago and was written about a blind family in Upper Darby PA that were so into the Christmas spirit that they decorated their house so brightly that people would come from all around to see it - even though they could not!
Thanks! and Merry Christmas!

2 years ago, a job change required my husband and I to move away from all our family and friends. "I'll be home for Christmas" takes on a whole new meaning as we can always go home :(

Our favorite is Silent Night... since three months premature I have been kangarooing and singing Silent Night EVERY night of my son's life. He calls it a lullabye. I will never forget when he was six, at the Christmas service while listening to silent night... "he looked up, touch with emotion and said " they are singing a lullabye". Now 8 years later, I still tear up at the "Mother and Child" part. SLEEEEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE..............

As a singer I absolutley adore all the old Christmas carols and can't wait to start singing them every year. O Holy Night is incredibly stirring when sung by a choir but please don't make me pick just one - also love Gabriel's Message; The Coventry Carol; Silent Night; A Christmas Lullaby.........for more "modern" music I really love Bing Crosby and Sting singing together The Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth.
