This holiday season I am most excited to watch my son because this will be the first year that he starts to understand the magic of the holidays and get excited about all that happens.

I am looking forward to everything that christmas brings - decorating the house, making the advent calenders for all 4 kids, baking all our favorite christmas cookies, warpping up all the presents for friends and family, spending time with everybody, hosting christmas partys, playing in the snow, a glass of wine in front of the fireplace after the kids have gone to bed....I could go on for ever ;o)

I cannot wait to see my son's face as he "really" gets to experience Christmas for the first time. He just turned 2 and this is the best time ever for all the "firsts" because he actually knows what's going on and can share his excitement! So cool to be a mom right now!

I love having my house filled with family all gathered together. When it is just my parents, siblings and their families, the total comes to 22 people! I love the hustle and bustle, and hearing all my nieces and nephews playing together. This will be my first year doing a December Daily, so I am also looking forward to that. Most importantly, reaching out to people to show them Jesus is the reason for the season.

I look forward to looking forward. I adore the Advent season because of the anticipation. In this immediate/instant/super-fast time, I love the stretch from Halloween to New Years; the tangible waiting. Each day should be savored and I really try to make the rest of the year feel that same sense of spirit. Thanks Ali, for all you do & all that you inspire.

There are so many wonderful things about the holidays! I look forward to looking at the lights in our neighborhood, our girls night ornament exchange (held at my house!), watching my girls open their chocolate advent calendars each morning, having Buddy the elf on the shelf visit each night, making cookies, and going to see family who live far away. Each year I am so grateful when my older family members celebrate another holiday with our family -- my time with them is precious.

I look forward to decorating the house, baking cookies, and creating some memories with my family. And, of course, listening to Christmas music. I've started that already.

I always make some kind of a mini-album for either my 3 granddaughters or my 2 children. I really look forward to putting them together, and I know that they are always their favorite gift from me. Must get started NOW! Thanx for the reminder! : )

Oh there's so many things I look forward to; decorating the house, the excitement of my sons, having family together. But this Christmas holiday I am most looking forward to my sister's twins being born, they're due in the middle of December. All very exciting!
