December Daily 2010 | 6x8 Title Page Free Download
Tags:I'm working on my story for today and in the process ended up creating a title page.
My plan is to leave the space between the 25 and the bottom line blank for now and then add a film-strip of images at the end of the month.
Here's a free download sized for 6x8 (PDF and PNG file for color customization) of that title page. I included both a 25 and a 31 page.
Download Here : AEdwards_2010DecemberDailyTitlePage
EDITED : Here's a 24 for those of you in Europe : AEdwards_24

If you don't mind me asking what font is the 25 in?

Melissa, you really don't want to know! Ali used this font in her Yesterday & Today class and we were all wanting to know what it was. When she told us, it turned out to be REALLY expensive. Can't remember right now what it's called, but it comes in a set of a lot of different numbers and you can't buy just this one font alone. I understand . . . I cry everytime I see this font because I can't have it!
It's called Numbers: http://www.typography.com/fonts/font_overview.php?productLineID=100018

Ali, quick question... How did you make the holes on your December Daily Album? What tool did you use? I need to purchase it!
Replies
I use a Crop-A-Dile: http://store.scrapbook.com/wr-70907-7.html
I've yet to put my holes in place. Have full plans to use my Crop a Dile - thought that was what you used. Any chance you could put up a hole template? I have fiddled with that a few times while putting my template together and am paranoid! Too close to the edge and they may tear, too far in and the pages won't turn! I've never made my own album...Silly, yes, I know!

Thank you! I decided to give the digital version a try so I am using the overlays on my photos and I will journal on the opposite page. Your video tutorial was so easy to follow. Thanks for giving me the tools to try a hybrid album!!

Thanks so much Ali! I love you extra for this. My mom and I are doing this together and I can't tell you what it means to me. She is 73 this year and I am cherishing every moment with her. She just left my house after both of us working together for about 3 hours. I know that I will never forget this special time together, crafting, telling stories and celebrating the month of Christmas. It was amazing how many stories came up while working on our books. My father is even going to join us! Ali, we had a devastating tragedy this year in our family. The kind of event that leaves permanent scars. We are strong in our faith and in our family and for that I am thankful. I believe that this year's 25 Days will be very healing for us and remind us even more of how much we have to be thankful for in every simple and precious moment of life. Thank you so very much for all of your inspiration and joy! XOXOXO

Oh Ali I can't thank you enough for that free download. I really wanted to try the overlays but didn't think I should jump into it until I knew what I was doing with them. Going beyond my skillset was my downfall last year. It also gave me a chance to play around with adding text to photos. I did this last year but when I had them printed it wasn't photo quality.
I use Gimp and don't really know how to use it, so I played around this morning, saved a couple of photos (with your overlay on and some of my own text) and had them printed this afternoon. They turned out great, no more horrible quality text for me! I can't tell you how much of a relief it is to know that I can create this! And it's so easy once you know how.

Hey girls,
Does anyone know what kind of tool Ali used to make her holes on her album?
I've never made a Dec. Daily album, and I have no clue as to how I am going to bind the pages together.
Any ideas/suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

She uses a Crop-a-Dile tool from We R Memory Keepers. It's a hand-held tool that punches holes and can also set eyelets. They also make a table top version called the Big Bite which is what I used to punch my holes. Ali usually uses large binder rings (2 1/2 to 3 inches) to hold her album together. The bigger the better because these albums get thick. You should be able to find some at an office supply store. Good luck with your book. I assembled books the past two years and then never filled them. This year my book is ready to go and I'm determined to see it through until the end.
