Three people will receive a word necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs.
Lisa's been a great supporter of One Little Word the past few years and came up with a really lovely design for this year's words. For 2011, "the word of the year necklace is a thick, narrow tag with a large ball, strung from sterling chain and finished with a freshwater pearl. we'll hand-stamp the tag with your very own word."
A simple necklace is a wonderful way to commemorate your one little word.

I'm grateful that we pulled together through some rough situations as a family, and we enjoyed so many family activities together. I am also grateful my mom's cancer did not return. It was a wonderful year.

I am grateful to be alive! After having battled cancer in 2006 my life has been about living life to the fullest which has meant a lot of changes in my life...ending relationships, going back to school, moving to a new place. This year life is going to continue to change so my one little word for the year is CHANGE. I want to document these continued changes in my life to see where I have come from and what I have accomplished! Thanks Ali for all of your inspiration!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Have a fantastic new year!

i am really grateful that in 2010 I got a diagnosis for a mystery illness that has been really debilitating and frustrating for over a year before hand and going through really terrifying moments of what could be wrong with me.
It meant i could manage my condition and continue to craft more than i ever could before and dream about a future when i will be healthy.

After losing their house of 30 years to foreclosure 2 years ago, my parents finally moved out of a terrible camper and into a rental house, so they have heat and running water and electricity. I don't think I've ever been so grateful for anything in my life as I am for this turn of events!

I am grateful that I began my jouney of self-exploration in 2010. I look forward to continuing it in 2011 through avenues like OLW, my scrapbooking and with visits to my therapist. My word is RELEASE and I am already full of anticipation at how this will manifest itself in my journey.

I am greatful for our new home. Because of the economy, we found it necessary to downsize. However, our new home has everything I need....my family.

I am grateful for the aggravation of coworkers who don't pull their own weight because it reminds me that I am blessed to have a job. I am grateful for the incompetent employees who work at United Health Care because it reminds me that I am blessed to have insurance and don't need to choose a meal over ensuring my family's health. I am grateful for my leaking roof because it reminds me that I am blessed to be a homeowner. I am grateful for a daughter who talks back and a son who whines because I am blessed to be called mom and those sounds, which give my life meaning, come with the most amazing hugs and kisses. I am grateful for the countless hours my husband spends on golf, bowling and fantasy football because I am blessed to be a wife and have a best friend who comes home to love me, flaws and all, every single day. I am grateful for the hurts that are caused by family and friends because I am blessed to have people who care about me enough to be invested in the ups and downs of a relationship. How blessed I am, indeed! Happy New Year, Ali! May your year be blessed!

I am grateful for the things often taken for granted, like shelter, food, water, a home... had a conversation yesterday with someone who was living in someone's garage without running water...reminded me of the richness of my life in ways often overlooked...
