I am SO feeling this right now. I'm taking your One Little Word class, I'm in Lain's LOAD challenge for February, and I'm working on starting my own Etsy shop. My mantra for the last couple weeks has been exactly the same: one thing at a time, one thing at a time...
I needed to see those words big, red, and on paper today!
Thanks again for the inspiration...and for helping me to plant my feet firmly on the ground to accomplish what needs to be done...one thing at a time!
Wow, how timely! Just woke up to find two kids need to stay home today because they are sick, and I have a giant to do list. I really needed this today. What a great reminder to just sit with the kids and do what is most important...love them today! Thanks, Ali
Multitasking has been an evil concept foisted upon us imho. Great advice.

I have the exact same feelings about multitasking. Often if I do that evil thing everything ends up a mess. Finish one thing all the way; cross it off; move on. What a wonderful concept!
I agree with you totally about multi-tasking. The only time it's really appropriate is when one task needs to be unattended for a longish amount of time and then you can do something else. In other words: put the laundry in and while it's washing do another task, or mix up the dough for bread and while it rises for two hours you can do something else. But even this is really doing one thing at a time!

Thanks so much. I am going to keep this in my mind's eye today as I try to get all of it done today...well, no, not all of it. Never all of it.

aka "Do the next thing."
When I have one million things to do & feel the pressure of it all, I take a deep breath and tell myself to do the next thing.
Hope you have a peaceful & productive day as you focus on "one thing at a time." !
