Join Kelly Purkey and friends for Sketchbook 3! This is a self-paced four week class filled with fresh sketches, easy instructions, beautiful examples, and lots of fun. From April 4th to April 29th a PDF will be delivered to your inbox every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. By the end of the class, you'll have a complete sketchbook of 12 original sketches, 38 layouts, and an additional 38 sketches based on those creative pages. All of the examples are brand new layouts, exclusive to this class... you won't see them anywhere else. The best part is that you will be receiving an example layout from Kelly for each of the sketches, along with two (or more) example layouts from a very talented contributor. Each PDF for Sketchbook 3 will also include a card designed by the amazing Jennifer McGuire based on the daily sketch.

In NYC on Friday, it was 75 degrees - just loved hanging out in the backyard with my son playing basketball and my other son playing on the trampoline. Amazing how this simple time in the sunshine was pure bliss.

Living in Arizona and being 5 months pregnant, I'm scared of the seasons changing! It's already time to pull out the shorts and capris and when July hits and I'll be 9 months pregnant, I'm going to be MISERABLE! But I do enjoy the sun and we'll try to get out as much as I can handle. I love seeing the grass turn green (what grass there is here) and seeing everyone planting flowers.

On our way to Winter in Australia and I love sitting by our fire and watching the flames leaping around it is so mesmerising. Also the way the warmth envelopes you and you tend to forget it's miserable outside.

Since I'm back in school, college to be more precise, I just love when I have even the briefest moment to appreciate the rays of sunlight. The oppurtunity to feel the rays of sunlight dance across my skin, its warmth beating down on me and the opposing coolness of the grass. Even when I can't literally escape, these thoughts bring me back to this place of peace and calmness. While I may not have control over the hectiness and chaos of the day, my mind allows me to rememeber the beauty that surronds me. :)
Making the decision to have a good day isn't always the easiest thing to do! The world doesn't always know or have to know your troubles. SMILE!
