GIVEAWAY | Three people will receive spots in Mary Ann Moss's online class Remains Of The Day.
Remains Of The Day is the antidote for all of those paper scraps that keep multiplying in your favorite scrap box and clogging up your artistic super highway. In this process AND project oriented class we’ll be constructing a shabby but sturdy journal (like this one) using all of that paper you’ve been hoarding. Ordinary life never looked better than seen through the pages of this stitched up journal of scraps.

my spring cleaning tip...play your favorite tunes, loud enough so you can hear them from any room while you clean.

I love to go through the house and find stuff to list on Craig's List. Gets me a few $$$, AND a cleaner house!

my spring cleaning tip is to just make yourself start. I never seem to want to start cleaning, but after i'm finished i'm glad i did. Thanks for the opportunity!

I say, set a timer for 30 minutes or an hour and just get started on a cupboard, purging and cleaning and when your time is up go and do something you enjoy. Later set up another cleaning time.

We pick a project, set the timer for 30 minutes and see how much we can get done in that time. The kids get into the competition to get things done.

Spring cleaning - I prefer spring purging. It feels good to purge the unnecessary when the sun is shining and the air is getting warm. After purging - open the windows and let the fresh air circulate! Thanks so much for the great give-away!

Wow, what a cool class. I think my biggest spring cleaning tip is two fold. First, get the kids involved - that is a HUGE help (even when their only 3 yrs. old). Second, let the kids have a day with Aunts/Uncles/Grandparents so they're out of the house and you can do the big cleaning without worrying or waiting for nap time.

Even though the calendar says it's spring, it will be awhile where I live. I like to use vinegar and water as a cleaning liquid.

I like to use all natural cleaners for spring cleaning so my family doesn't breathe in all those chemicals. Also opening all the windows in the house while I clean gets the winter funk out!!

well, unfortunately I can't give any good tips... what I usually do is simply throw everything away... not the best thing to do - so what I'm gonna do now is read everyone's tips! and I thank you for asking these tips :)

I'm a huge fan of lists - if I make a list of all the spring cleaning tasks I need to do & cross them off as I complete them, I really feel like I'm achieving something and the whole job seems to go so much quicker! Thanks for the chance to win this fab giveaway - I'd love it!

Oh my, I have been eyeing this workshop for awhile--would love to win. My only tip for spring cleaning (any cleaning) is to turn some tunes on really loud and rock out while getting the work done!!!

I love washing my windows every mid April to let the sun shine in, and I use the opportunity to switch from heavy winter drapes to light-weight summer curtains! It gives my house a lighter, brighter feel for the season!

Being able to open the windows is a must if I'm going to do some serious spring cleaning. The smell of that fresh spring air gets me in that "out with the old" attitude. Spring to me is a time of renewal, and so is gutting the house. Thanks for the opportunity to win a spot in this class!

Tackling one small area at a time and making sure everything has a "home" or it goes to goodwill, or the trash. Thanks for this opportunity to win.

Ha haa, I'm loving all the funny comments ;-)
Best advice is to start small & tangible: One drawer, one closet, one room at a time so you don't get discouraged and just give up.
Another favorite is "fill a box"- fill a box that you'll donate or throw away. Owrks wonders on the clutter.
Also a good one (albeit so NOT fun) is to have a regular system in place so you never really need that much of a big cleaning because it's about maintenance.

I should go back and read several of these tips shared--I need help with my cleaning!
Which kind of makes my tip funny--but I was going to say, one should "spring clean" once a month to make it easier when cleaning....guess I should listen to my own advice;)

My spring cleaning tip is open up all the drawers and get rid of what hasn't been used for a while. It's amazing how much space I end up with when I'm done.
Thanks for the chance to enter to win this class!
