GIVEAWAY | Two people will each receive a spot in the Up & Running Summer 5K Beginners Course, which starts on 13 June.
Up & Running provides unique online running classes for women. If you've always thought running was reserved for sporty types with bouncing ponytails, we're here to help you discover that running is for everyone. Our 5K Beginners Course is not the usual boring "walk 5 mins, run 5 minutes" program. We offer expert coaching from renowned coach Julia Jones, unlimited support from our community forums, and a mind and body approach that has been tried and tested with thousands of women around the world. Whether you've dabbled in running before or completely new to exercise, we'll not only help you start running safely, we'll get your mind in the right place too.
"Up & Running really has been the best thing I have done for myself in years, and not just for the running. My confidence and happiness in my own skin has increased so much and I love what my body can DO, rather than obsessing about what it looks like."
- Philippa, UK, Spring 5K course

I wish my mom was still here to give me advice - she passed away 10 years ago but at the time, my oldest son was 1 yr old and she said to always trust my instincts as a mom. Now I have 3 kiddos and I always remember that. Thanks Mom!

My mom taught me that you should really push yourself to be all you can be. She was never afraid of a challenge and would tackle - and do!- almost any project. and... she has given me a great lesson on how to be a wonderful grandmother-when that time comes in my life. Love you mom1

My favorite life lesson is to let go of the things you can't control. Mad at someone for not doing what you want? Let it go - you can't control someones behavior (unless it is your own).

My mother took personality traits that we had that could have been negative and told us that we could use that to be amazing. Such as telling me almost every day that the reason I was strong willed and stubborn was so I would make the right decisions and never be swayed from what i knew was right.

My mom said...'If you don't want to eat it, don't eat it.'
I can remember this mother's saying sometimes in my life in different occasions.
And my grandma said, 'Cherish your everyday life, Yoko.Your very ordinary daily life should be important.'She gifted these words for us when we got married 15 years ago...
Happy mothers&grandmothers day!

Favorite lesson I learned from my mom.... there are too many! Maybe to be frugal and what that looks like practically. But, probably the best would be to love unconditionally, don't hold grudges, and forgive quickly. She was always such a great example of this!

One of the best skills my mother ever taught me was how to balance a checkbook. Something most of my friends never learned!
