Studio AE From Technique Tuesday Blog Hop | September
Tags:Welcome to the Studio AE/Technique Tuesday September Blog Hop!
This month's stamp set is "Family Is" - a great collection of family-focused words:
This month I decided to create a page celebrating the kids and my parents - their relationships are one of my favorite parts of life.
Here are a few close-ups:
I went with a selection of photos from this past year. I cropped all the photos to 2.5 x 3.5 (or so) in Photoshop, printed them here at home and left a white border around each image.
For my title I used a combination of these great cork letter stickers from Close To My Heart and the "generations" stamp.
Although I think the family words on this months set are great, I especially love the "love you" piece. I can see myself using that one over and over. I stamped it a few times with different ink colors in the top right of the page.
Along the outside top right edge I used the Smash Date Stamp ( Two Peas | Scrapbook.com ) to add "I heart this" and the date.
Word stickers. Still love them. Pulled out some old Making Memories wordfetti and combined them with chipboard words from GCD Studios Soul Food Collection.
Along the bottom of the pattern paper I stamped "love you Mother," "love you Father," "love you son," and "love you daughter" as a subtitle.
Underneath that stamping I did a bit of handwritten journaling.

I love the way you used the stemps.....they really add to this layout. Great page!!
I must say I've always loved Technique Tuesday stamps and have a lot of them, but I've been skeptical about buying the 5x7 size since I couldn't figure out how they went from 8-1/2x11 to 5x7 without reducing the size of the stamps (some of the alphabet stamps I have from TT barely fit on the larger pages). Are your actual stamps reduced in size now? I would really like to start buying some, but wanted to know first. I've tried to read their webpage, but can't find any mention of the size (other than the reduced page size). I'm really liking what everyone is doing with your stamps and don't think I would be disappointed either way. They don't look so smaill on your page here.

Hi Cindy - none of my stamps (the sets designed by me) have changed in size, just the packaging. The stamps sizes and number of stamps are the same on my sets that have been released over the last couple of years. Technique Tuesday hasn't been doing as many of the large alphabet stamps as in the past.
