I honestly do believe Manhattan to be the coolest city anywhere, ever. CONGRATULATIONS!!! ..... and...... best of luck & (((HUGS))) with all the other. Hopefully by the time you get home you'll all see it with "fresh eyes".

Thanks Alli, great quote. It means a lot to me, especially this crazy morning.
We went to high school together (My maiden name was Johnson then, I was a freshman when you were a senior) and I introduced myself to you again a few years ago at the CK Portland show in March. I was wearing cool glasses like you and your signed your book for me! I love your blog and website and I wish you all the best to you and your family. I live in Raleigh, NC now and it nice to read something written by someone from my hometown. Keep posting, the washington transplants love you!

love it.
i took a class from her a long long time ago & i still think about it & how she just made me feel like it was okay to be me. just as i was (which was crying, actually...during a class! so embarrassing! but she made me feel like that was not only totally normal but actually really really good) anytime i see a quote from her i get such a bursting in my heart <3
i hope you are having a nice time away... & being just who you are, even if it makes you cry <3

I love this. You know I believe a woman can do anything. Anything. A man? Well, although their attributes are many, that is to be determined. I'm kidding, a little bit. The hardest part of doing anything for me is starting. Start!

You are a strong women Ali. I've seen it. Not sure what's going on, I hope all is well. I love this quote....
The most authentic thing about us
Is our capacity to create, to overcome,
To endure, to transform, to love,
And to be greater than our suffering. Ben Okri

Beautiful message. An inspiring way to start the week.
By the way, I think the author's last name is Radmacher, with an a not an o.
I agree. "a" not an "o". (Love the quote.)

What a wonderful quote. I am sharing this with a woman with whom I work. She has a son with autism and she collects quotes. She will love this. I am going to hang it up in my classroom for my students to see, but mainly for me:)
