AE | The Thanksgiving Lens
Tags:Just wanted to share a couple of my favorite photos from this past holiday weekend.
I'm in the middle of putting my Project Life pages together for last week and doing all kinds of things behind the scenes for December Daily (including eight days of giveaways beginning on December 1). If you purchased a December Daily kit through Studio Calico the message board is now open. Make sure to sign in with your user name and then you should see it as an option in the list of message boards.
I didn't take any food photos this year. The food was fabulous and I was just enjoying laying down the camera for a bit.
I did manage to get lots of shots of this awesome group of kids. It's so cool and I'm so thankful that my kids get to spend time with cousins throughout the year (definitely wish we lived closer). Love watching the connections between them grow over the years.
The goofy bunch of boys are all about legos right now. Cristina (my cousin's wife) picked up the Lego Creationary game which is really cool - I think it might be just the thing to encourage Simon to build beyond what he sees in the Lego instruction manuals. They also played lots of Angry Birds on the various ipads and iphones that were readily available.
The two girls, Anna and Lucy, are quite the pair. Partners in crime, co-conspirators, great pretenders. They immediately pair up and disappear until something between them heads south (usually that one or the other wants the other one to do something). I love, love, love watching them together.
So grateful for extended family and the love they show.

I took cousin photos this weekend too. We are military and move around a lot, but there are several cousins we've managed to vacation with and/or spend holidays with over the years. They are all teenagers now, but we started when they were little. They are all very good friends and thrilled to see each other whenever they can.
I think it is the memories we make when we are all together that matter and keeps the bond between the cousins strong, esp during the times when we cannot get together. Hey, I think I just thought of a LO, complete with journaling :)

We don't have enough cousins in this family and they don't live close enough, but we do love them when we see them. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
