Our schedule and menu seems to change from year to year but the most "consistant" thing is that my mom makes potato soup on Christmas Eve - we have other "finger foods" and goodies but the soup is a tradition and we all love it! :)

My dad makes the best barbecued turkey using the good old round Weber grill, which creates somewhat of a rotisserie effect with crispy skin, lots of flavor, moist turkey with just the right amount of smoke (just a little). It's the think I look forward to the most.

I never liked gingerbread cookies before a friend introduced me to her recipe a few years ago. Now it's become a tradition to make gingerbread cookies every year. We made 2 gingerbread houses one year at Christmas dinner with family, the following year made gingerbread people, and last year made gingerbread snowflakes. This year (tonight actually) we're making making snowmen with a heart cut out. (lol, that sounds wrong, but it will be cute with the heart detail). We've also had a blast making gingerbread haunted houses for Halloween. :)
