Christmas breakfast. Every year the men in our family join together to cook while the women drink tea/coffee and gossip. I have such wonderful memories of those times!

My favorite thing to eat at Christmas is my mom's famous "wreath".
It takes her two days to make the light buttery pastry filled with almond paste and zwieback crumbs that is braided to look like a wreath. It's so delicious. Even when we were kids we were more excited to have wreath than open presents.

Ever since I was teeney tiny me and my Grammy made tarts for the holiday dinners [Thanksgiving and Christmas]. All my aunts and uncles grew up with the mince meat but we started making the apple ones just for me. Every year they're still made and they're my favorite food for the holidays.
