Here's a look at a stamp I love from the new catalog and the one I'm using in my layout today:
Hello zig zag!
I decided to do a page that highlights some of the things I love about Anna right now.
Here's a look at my process:
I used the new Hero Arts Zig Zag stamp to create a pattern on my white cardstock with Jenni Bowlin Chewing Gum and Malted Milk inks. I didn't stress about making it perfect because I knew I would be adding content on top.
I started by adding a sticker border (Sassafras for Studio Calico) along the bottom - popping it up with foam dots.
I knew I wanted the title to read "Things I love" and I hoped it would fit in that space. Chipboard letters are American Crafts Goodness by Amy Tangerine.
Photo is 4x6 and was printed with a white border.
And yes, another one of those wood flags is popping up here. I love those things.
"Beautiful" is from a set of GCD Studios Melody Ross Soul Food Collection Chipboard Stickers.
For the journaling I used one of my Awakening 4x6 overlays. I opened it in Photoshop, added my text and printed on cardstock.
Along the bottom of the overlay I added a bit of washi tape (I think that came in a Studio Calico kit), her initials in those great little Lily Bee alphabet letter stickers, and an old metal arrow (I think from 7gypsies). Love those arrows. Someone should make those again.

My favorite Christams tradition has become the fact that we don't open gifts until Christmas evening. My stepsons have so many family obligations with their mom's family that they used to have to rush through opening gifts only to have to leave to go to visit family. How fair (and stressful) is that to have to leave your gifts ten minutes after receiving them. So, we don't open gifts until after dinner. At first I didn't like it because it wasn't traditional but it's so peaceful and we can take our time, now I love it.

I think my favorite family tradition is buying the tree. We all love different kinds of trees and it's always a process to narrow down all 5 choices and agree on one. Decorating it is for the kids and I really love listening to their stories of the ornaments they choose to hang...

I love your layout and LOVE the stamps! My favorite holiday tradition is decorating the christmas tree - this has become even more fun with the kids and it's fun to see how they move things around all season. We don't have our tree yet this year :( but are getting it tomorrow! I can't wait!

Our favorite Christmas tradition is to get in our pajamas, make hot chocolate, hop in the car with Christmas music loaded in the CD player, and drive around looking at Christmas lights. The kids have loved this for years and are already asking when we're going to do it. Thanks for the opportunity to win these great Hero Arts stamps! : )

Thanks for the chance to win! I love the zig zag background stamp. Favorite tradition...hmmmm....hard to pick but one thing on the list is the annual making of the traditional Croatian potica bread. Delicious and just a fun, fun time with friends! OH, and making my own holiday cards and gift tags is right up there too!!!

From the time he was a toddler, when I tucked my little boy into bed on Christmas Eve, I spent a few minutes explaining to him that he shouldn’t be afraid if he heard noises on the roof or downstairs in the living room of our (then) little Cape Cod style house because Santa would be arriving during the night. I always managed to keep a straight face, even when the look of wonder in his big blue eyes made that very difficult to do.
In a blink, he was a teenager, and even though we never spoke of it beforehand, the last thing I did every Christmas Eve was go to his room, sit at the side of his bed, and recite my Christmas Eve ‘script’.
My son is 32-years-old now, married, and a U. S. Army Special Forces Officer with several deployments to his credit. The first Christmas he spent in Iraq, he managed to call me on Christmas Eve and asked me if there was something I needed to tell him. It only took me a second to understand his question and, through misty eyes, I recited the dialogue we each knew by heart. And every Christmas Eve, wherever he is in the world, we spend a few minutes together on the phone, mother and son, sharing our most precious Christmas tradition.

My favorite tradition is the night(s) we go out to look at lights. Weplay lots of Chirstmas music, make some cocoa to take along, try to photograph our favorites, laugh & look & feel like little kids driving through wonderland. We are so blessed to have lots of repeat favorites every year & people who put alot of work into decorating in our town.

I love the chevron stamp and the wood flags. Your daughter is adorable. My favorite holiday tradition is making tons of christmas cookies--especially with frosting and decorations and making up plates and giving them away--especially to bus drivers, mailmen, vets--and usually anyone I can think of to get rid of all the zillions of cookies!

My favorite holiday tradition is unwrapping the ornaments and hanging them on the tree. As I open the boxes and see what's inside, I'm reminded of so many happy happy memories with my family and friends over the years. I love seeing ornaments I bought on holiday and remembering the trip. I love ornaments given to me by my parents and ornaments made by my aunt. So special!

I love this layout! I don't know if "favorite" and "relief" are the same thing, but once the inside and outside of our house is finally decorated we have cookies, eggnog, and watch "White christmas"
