Here's a look at a stamp I love from the new catalog and the one I'm using in my layout today:
Hello zig zag!
I decided to do a page that highlights some of the things I love about Anna right now.
Here's a look at my process:
I used the new Hero Arts Zig Zag stamp to create a pattern on my white cardstock with Jenni Bowlin Chewing Gum and Malted Milk inks. I didn't stress about making it perfect because I knew I would be adding content on top.
I started by adding a sticker border (Sassafras for Studio Calico) along the bottom - popping it up with foam dots.
I knew I wanted the title to read "Things I love" and I hoped it would fit in that space. Chipboard letters are American Crafts Goodness by Amy Tangerine.
Photo is 4x6 and was printed with a white border.
And yes, another one of those wood flags is popping up here. I love those things.
"Beautiful" is from a set of GCD Studios Melody Ross Soul Food Collection Chipboard Stickers.
For the journaling I used one of my Awakening 4x6 overlays. I opened it in Photoshop, added my text and printed on cardstock.
Along the bottom of the overlay I added a bit of washi tape (I think that came in a Studio Calico kit), her initials in those great little Lily Bee alphabet letter stickers, and an old metal arrow (I think from 7gypsies). Love those arrows. Someone should make those again.

What a lovely layout! The zig zag stamp is great. My favorite tradition is to make the members of my family an ornament each year.

I really love the new stamps. I was inspired by the use of the "gradient" type of effect used here with the zigzag background. Very lovely!

I love so many holiday traditions, I guess my favorite is getting the family together to help put up the tree and remembering all the stories that go along with the ornaments. We also really enjoy Christmas backing with friends and family
I like Heros Arts and so far the stamps are awesome. Thank you for sharing.

My favorite tradition is unwrapping gifts on Christmas morning. We have hot chocolate, coffee, ham and potica and other goodies and take turns unwrapping gifts by age, youngest to oldest. It's a great way to open gifts because then you get to see everyone as they open theirs and the excitment of each gift.

Your little girl is SO beautiful! Her front teeth make me giggle. My daughter just got hers in (they make me giggle too)
My favorite tradition is kind of a new one because my oldest is 3 but I love snuggling up on the couch with my kids, so hot cocoa watching all those wonderful Christmas cartoons and movies. I love that - it's like the world just stops.

When I was younger, my parents used to drive me around on Christmas Eve to look at the Christmas lights. Although it was just their 'trick' to get me tired, I loved seeing all the sparkling displays. Thanks for the chance to win!

Love your journaling block, it's so much fun and so easy to read. And those stamps are great! Thanks for the chance to win.
I absolutely love the holidays. One of my favorite traditions growing up was that throughout the month of December each day one of us would get a small gift. We'd have an advent calendar with a clue to where the gift was hidden, then play "Hot and Cold" to help find it. These were small trinkets like stocking stuffers, but it wasn't about the presents. It was the excitement of the game and the fun of being together in front of the fireplace, drinking hot cocoa, and laughing.

Great page, very cute. My favorite tradition is making prime rib for the family on Christmas day. My kids are grown now, but they say they look forward to it every year. That and the large stockings I still do for them.

I have 3 favorites: 1) Hot mulled Cider with Tuaca! YUM! 2) PUtting up the tree and decorations. LOVE the fresh pine scent and lights in doors! 3) My husband and I select a gift to give to US. It's something special, a bit expensive (we put $ aside all year to have a reserve for something like this).
Thanks for the giveaways and chance to share!
