If you'd like to learn more about my site check out my Welcome or About Ali pages.
Here's a look at a stamp I love from the new catalog and the one I'm using in my layout today:
Hello zig zag!
I decided to do a page that highlights some of the things I love about Anna right now.
Here's a look at my process:
I used the new Hero Arts Zig Zag stamp to create a pattern on my white cardstock with Jenni Bowlin Chewing Gum and Malted Milk inks. I didn't stress about making it perfect because I knew I would be adding content on top.
I started by adding a sticker border (Sassafras for Studio Calico) along the bottom - popping it up with foam dots.
I knew I wanted the title to read "Things I love" and I hoped it would fit in that space. Chipboard letters are American Crafts Goodness by Amy Tangerine.
Photo is 4x6 and was printed with a white border.
And yes, another one of those wood flags is popping up here. I love those things.
"Beautiful" is from a set of GCD Studios Melody Ross Soul Food Collection Chipboard Stickers.
For the journaling I used one of my Awakening 4x6 overlays. I opened it in Photoshop, added my text and printed on cardstock.
Along the bottom of the overlay I added a bit of washi tape (I think that came in a Studio Calico kit), her initials in those great little Lily Bee alphabet letter stickers, and an old metal arrow (I think from 7gypsies). Love those arrows. Someone should make those again.

Traditions change as we get older. People in our life have passed on, so the places we have gathered and shared traditions with are gone as well. Our recent tradition is to gather our girls and grand daughter to go to the historical Mission Inn , in Riverside, ca. and see the lights. Have a Delia's sandwich, some hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies. so much fun.

Thanks for the chance to win the great stamps!
My favorite holiday traditions are choosing ornaments that represent my children's past year so when they're adults they'll have a big collection of special "memory" ornaments; and of course, new Christmas PJs for everyone.

My favorite tradition as a child was putting out hay for the reindeer. I didn't care about Santa. Just wanted to make sure the reindeer got food!

One of my most favorite holiday traditions is getting the kids in their pajamas with cozy blankets tucked around them in their carseats and going on our "ride along" to see all the pretty Christmas lights people have decorated their houses with!

THank you for the inspiration. I would never have thought to use such a bold pattern in soft colors to create a gentle background. Favorite holiday traditions: taking time to listen to holiday music and watch videos I've seen since I was as young as your youngest.

One of my Christmas traditions is making my own xmas cards! I am well into the process now and I love it! Another activity that I love is taking a day or two with friends to make cards and other paper crafts, I do that every year.

As simple as it may be my favorite holiday tradition is decorating the tree. As I put the ornaments on the tree I can not help but remember all the special christmas memories from my childhood, my sons first christmas, the first christmas in our new home, etc...

My favorite Christmas tradition is turning on the Christmas tunes and decorating the tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. I love how my two boys get excited to put the ornaments on and ask where each of them came from (mine is seeing there little hand prints from preschool!). My oldest boy now takes on the responsibility of putting the star on the top after the tree is all decorated - when did he get so tall? Great times and a great photo opportunity!

Amazingly adorable Ali! Love it!
My favorite family traditions are playing games, reading Christmas book/stories every day in December plus making ornaments together/crafting and cookie baking. Someone posted they wrap each of their favorite family books so it is a surprise when they are opened each night. I love this idea and plan to add it next year.
I also love having the morning ritual of the advent calendar.
Wishing you Peace and JOY :)

what has become a fun family tradition among the adults (the big kids with big hearts) in our family is Chinese Christmas and it gets crazy, whackier and more interesting every year. It's so entertaining the kids (18 and under) ask when can they participate and play too. It allows us not to spend a fortune and still have a great time and it has turned into a game all enjoy :o)

Our newest and funniest tradition is playing charades after Christmas day lunch. Everyone gets involved and the kids love seeing us oldies being silly. The photos from last year's game of charades are so hilarious. Love Christmas!
