Here's a look at a stamp I love from the new catalog and the one I'm using in my layout today:
Hello zig zag!
I decided to do a page that highlights some of the things I love about Anna right now.
Here's a look at my process:
I used the new Hero Arts Zig Zag stamp to create a pattern on my white cardstock with Jenni Bowlin Chewing Gum and Malted Milk inks. I didn't stress about making it perfect because I knew I would be adding content on top.
I started by adding a sticker border (Sassafras for Studio Calico) along the bottom - popping it up with foam dots.
I knew I wanted the title to read "Things I love" and I hoped it would fit in that space. Chipboard letters are American Crafts Goodness by Amy Tangerine.
Photo is 4x6 and was printed with a white border.
And yes, another one of those wood flags is popping up here. I love those things.
"Beautiful" is from a set of GCD Studios Melody Ross Soul Food Collection Chipboard Stickers.
For the journaling I used one of my Awakening 4x6 overlays. I opened it in Photoshop, added my text and printed on cardstock.
Along the bottom of the overlay I added a bit of washi tape (I think that came in a Studio Calico kit), her initials in those great little Lily Bee alphabet letter stickers, and an old metal arrow (I think from 7gypsies). Love those arrows. Someone should make those again.

My favorite holiday tradition is getting the family matching PJs to put on Christmas Eve and wearing them while sitting under the tree reading stories and getting excited for Santa.

I love creating a gingerbread house - from scratch - with my granddaughter. Such fun and so many leftover candy treats.

My favorite tradition is reading Night Before Christmas and The Grinch on Christmas Eve. This year (after I saw your books) we added to it with 24 nights of Christmas books.

I started a new holiday tradition for my family a couple of years ago by building a big advent tree made out of boxes and placing little candies/gifts/messages in the boxes. Every day in December, my kids open a box to find a little gift inside. This, by far, is my kids' most favorite tradition.

Beautiful page, Ali! Anna is one lucky girl - and you're right - she just looks happy! I think my favorite tradition every year is getting out my ornaments and thinking about their history. Many of mine are homemade. Love them.

Making cut out sugar cookies. I always stress over whether they will roll out well, but the tasty results are worth it! It's not Christmas without these cookies!

I love all the little things as the kids get excited. Crafts all over, finding pom-poms everywhere, the constant rearranging of the ornaments, cookies, all of it!

My favorite thing this time of year is to unearth my seasonal display of snowmen and set them out "just so."

my family don't really have a fixed tradition. I guess just a simple gathering for the holidays as a get together would be a tradition? (: thanks for the chance!

My favorite holiday tradition is baking sugar cookie cutouts then decorating them. I remember making these as a child with my grandmother as well as my mom. Then when I became a mother, my children started decorating them with my mom. Now that my mom is gone, I cherish those times and I know that my children do as well. It seems that each of the cookie cutters has a story and when we cut the cookies out we relive the memories.

Every year I buy my boys an ornament. I try to find one that represents something going on in their lives. The first year I bought a divided box to keep the ornaments in and cut enough cards to get me through 18 years. So every year when I put the ornaments away I write the story about why I bought the ornament and the year. Now they have a box of memories, ornament style! We open the ornaments on Christmas Eve and add them to the tree. Definitely a favorite tradition! Thanks for the giveaway.

Thanks for the giveaway opportunity! I love that our holiday tradition each year is to watch our old home movies from the past. My father still uses his huuuuge camcorder from 1985 to document each Christmas together, so we always then watch the previous years' Christmas (and other) home movies...on VHS (my DH has transferred them to DVD, but my dad likes it old school).
