With my office a giant mess due to painting I decided to do a digital layout the other night using my Simply AE | Remember This layered template.
JOURNALING | We spent New Year’s Eve 2011 down at the beach with Grandma, Grandpa, Katie, Peter and Paolo. There was lots of good food (Anna especially liked the fried clams that Grandpa caught and cooked), wine and drinks for the adults, walking on the beach, seeing the lights at Shore Acres State Park (twice), watching movies, and Simon spent a lot of time working on his Death Star lego. It was really nice to begin the new year surrounded by people who love us so very much. And you know who loves the two of you so very much? Me. I’m thankful everyday that we get to share our lives together. I’m thankful that we get to learn and play and grow and experience life together - all of it - the really awesome times and the times that are quite a bit more challenging. What I want both of you to always, always know is that you are loved so very much. I’m excited about what the future holds for us. There are so many adventures to be had right here in our own backyard and beyond. I’m looking forward to learning lots of new things with both of you in 2012. Here’s to a brand new year full of possibility and lots and lots of love.

I also wanted to share two new products that went up this past weekend at Designer Digitals:
First up is an updated Photo Calendar for 2012. I've done this product for the last couple of years (started back in 2009) and always love when I see people using it. It's a cool way to document a 365 photo project or simply to create a layout that focuses on a specific span of time.
I've packaged up my Thankful Thought 4x6 overlays and completed all the numbers up through 31. I've had a few requests to make these available as a set for people interested in documenting (a great creative practice) a series of thankful thoughts over the course of a month. Set includes overlays numbered 1 through 31 plus a blank overlay for customization. The package also includes a 4x6 rounded corner rectangle for masking your photos.

I love this digital layout Ali, so cool!! Love what you wrote and hope for the very best for all of you this year. Such an inspiration and positive role model you are to the kids and for us. Thank you for that.

Hi Ali! I absolutely love all your products, and one of my 2012 goals is to actually USE all the digital goodness I have acquired. I was wondering if you have considered making a set to celebrate the fact that this is a leap-year? Things like "366 Days", "leap year", "leap day", "hello extra day". That kind of thing...I myself have taken February 29 off and am planning to do a fun outing with some friends-I figure since it is an extra day, it doesn't really count, right? I would love something fun to document the leap year with! Thanks!

loved your page!! hope the office is coming together! i was very productive this weekend i made 6 pages from 2002-2003 up at our cabin this weekend i had very few supplies and just used photos cardstock and a marker i did add a few stamps etc when we got home yesterday but left most of them alone i had purchased your "Awesome Days of Summer' stamp set and used that on the bottom of one page and on a tag that's all it needed really excited to go back and finish the whole box of old photos i left and just use the basics!

Awesome layout! Really want to give an all digital layout a try. I found a set of Christmas/Winter digital embellishments I downloaded years ago, so perhaps I'll take a shot with those. How do you do those staples??

Awesome layout to start the new year with Ali. I love this time of year, with so many possibilities. And your newsletter about subtraction in our lives, in our spaces, and in our creativity was perfect for January. It was a great prompt to get busy and figure out what we don't need in our lives. It sounds like you've been busy subracting that yellow from your office space. Hope it all comes together nicely for you. Have a great week.

AWESOME layout! What makes this so awesome is the journaling. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! Thanks so much for sharing!! I am jealous of all the great pics you get with you and your kids. Everytime I hand the camera to someone else I seem to be disappointed. :-(
