A Day In The Life | The Documentation
Tags:Here's a look at some of the photos I captured yesterday during my Day In The Life:
It was a very normal, very ordinary day around here - exactly what I wanted to document.
And here's the photo collage I put together using my A Day In The Life Layered Template:
I'm going to slip this into an 8.5x11 page protector and add it to Project Life for this week along with my Daily Sheets:

Lovely photos in just one day! Thank you for another adventure ms. Ali. I'm so glad that I played along. I must say that I love this and the week in the life. I always look forward to them every year and there's just something about capturing the moments of an ordinary life turned extra ordinary after viewing all photos we've taken. Can't wait for the week in the life....

So, so awesome Ali!
The way you document the everyday has been completely inspirational and fundamental in my attempt to do the same. My process of recording our very "ordinary" days through photos and thoughts has brought so much gratitude, joy and peace into my life that would have otherwise been missed in the hustle and bustle (so easy to get caught up in). For that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Ali,
you do such an awesome job with this project. you capture your world perfectly. i need to come up with a plan to get this done. my husband and i both work and the teens and my youngest son are in school. we're pretty much scattered for the majority of the day. saturday would probably be the best day to capture ourselves in detail. maybe i can get my family to participate and take pics of their day on their camera phones and then gather everyone's photos at the end of the day? thanks for sharing your life. so inspiring as always!

Love your day Ali. I joined in too and did yesterday (thurs) It was such a fun but challenging thing to do getting the camera going but really worthwhile.
Thanks as ever for the inspiration.

Ali, your house is so neat! In my pictures you can always see toys and other junk in the background! You have great light to work with too. Lucky!

Ali,
I've been reading you for sometime....I don't scrapbook (!) but I'm 55 and I appreciate your links to wisdom and inspirational sights like ZenHabits and Brene Brown. Keeps me hip. Well, hip-per.
And thanks for the picture of your desk. You're an introvert, I can tell so I appreciate the openness with which you trust. Looks like my desk.
Somehow sharing the good and the not-so-good keeps the world from seeming so big.
Thanks.

Love the picture of feeding time with George and Lily. And peeking into Simon's room. Just great. I don't know if it's the camera, the lens, or the photographer, but your pics are so great.

question??? i'm trying to print my 8.5x11 day in the life template that i made using your newest d.d. product but i can't seem to get it to print without a white border. i used scrapbook pictures.com to print out all my week in the life prints but they are no longer in business. do you have any suggestions? costco, target, ect.. only have 8x10 option.

Hi LIbbi - I printed mine with a white border :). I also have the option to print borderless on my printer (you might have that too) but I decided to do mine with a border? I'm pretty sure that Persnickety Prints has an 8.5x11 option -
Thank you. I uploaded my photo to persnikity prints and when it came time to order, I learned they charged $5.00 for shipping. Yikes!!! I think I will just print mine from home.

I love the photos ,love the colors, I love your diagonal lines, love that you are making the effort to include yourself in story . Love the photo of you at your desk . So many of us shoot our families and never include ourselves. What kind of a remote are you using ? Are you happy with it ?

I have to tell you that this exercise, which I'm a newbie, has really helped me to understand better how to journal. I'm never sure how much and what to write. But your exercise has shown me that even the smallest thing matters when it comes to journaling. I appreciate the information you share on your blog. It is very inspiring.

Under the category of totally-none-of-my-business, but caring about your well-being, I hope you just forgot to write down the rest of what you ate? Coffee, chips and salsa, and nothing for dinner? Assuming you just got busy and didn't write it down. . . Forgive my "nosiness" -- and happy weekend. ~ Laura

Well. This is amazing. You took more great photos in one "ordinary" day than I do in a month. I am so glad I've found this beautiful blog!
My blog is 2-months new, but I made some cute conversation hearts repeating pattern paper today. It's free, so feel free :) to come and get it!
