Week In The Life 2012 | Sunday Words + Photos
Tags:NUMBER OF PHOTOS FOR SUNDAY | Around 50
We've come to the end of another round of Week In The Life.
I'll admit I've felt more motivated in the past to undertake this project. But, but, but...as I round out this week I've got a really good feeling in my heart. A feeling that I needed. A feeling that I didn't really expect or don't remember experiencing to this degree in the past years I've done this project. A lot of my life right now is about creating new pathways. The act of taking on this project at this time has created new pathways and encouraged me to take a look at the choices I'm making and the choices I want to make. It makes me more aware of the possibilities and that I don't have to continue doing things the same as they've been done in the past.
I'll be taking the next few days to get my photos and words into my templates and hope to share them later this week.
Here's a look at some of my Sunday photos:

Thank you, thank you, thank you! This was the first year I committed to do a Week in the Life and am so very thankful that I did. I cannot wait to get all my photos into a book. I organized everything last night and plan on a marathon of scrapping over the weekend.

Thank you for sharing your photos. I got a chuckle out of the picture of your son sulking. Have a similar one of my almost 8 year old son after a melt down on Sunday afternoon. All part of growing up and learning to deal with his own frustrations.
LOVED this opportunity. It required a lot of thought and I already know what I would do differently for the next time. LOL. Can't wait to put it all together over the next week or so.
Great selection of sponsors. I've bookmaarked all of them. Hoping I'm lucky enough to win something.
Thanks for all of the inspiration. I look forward to being able to take this on at least once a year.

Hi Ali-
As I comtemplate documenting my WIL project I am considering jumping into digital scrapbooking. Can you recommend a photo processing company that is familiar with printing 8.5x11 prints. Most of the companies near me will only do 8x10 or 12x12.
Thanks-
Deanna

Another year, another week in the life. Your inspiration as your life changes, vividly shown in the photos (that huge number 3 keeps calling to me) and expressed so eloquently in your words, is a catalyst to me. Thank you so very much, Ali.

Ali, you are so inspirational! Loved seeing all the beautiful pictures you shared with us this week! The princess and the basketball is one of my favorites, but I loved Simon's hand over the face picture because my 35 year old daughter does almost the same thing! I get lots of eye rolls! I act wait to see your finished product. I enjoyed documenting the week because it shows how much time I spend caring for my quadraplegic son! God bless you and good luck in making those choices.

One of the things I noticed and reflected on as I was going through this year's Week is the purpose it served (and didn't serve) for me. When I first did "Week in the Life" in 2010, I didn't do as much "daily documenting" from week to week - either with my camera or in my planner - so participating in the project was new and insightful. But as my documentation of life has changed - as I've come to more actively value the importance of capturing the small moments just as much as the big moments - so has my thought process about "Week."
I'm not sure if I'll make any layouts for this Week - I may just let the daily blog entries stand as my "record" - but no matter what I end up doing with it, thanks for hosting this project again. The simple idea of documenting and reflecting is always worthwhile! =)

I love how integrated into your life your scrapbooking is - how it lets you look at the past, but how you use it to look forward as well. Always inspiring and the reason your blog is at the top my favorites list. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you - I love it for those reasons as well.

Ali- I'm so glad you continued with WITL this year. I've had so much fun documenting my week. I've ordered all my prints last night (that took awhile!) and I can't wait to put it all together. I hope you continue with WITL- I know I'm already looking forward to next year!!

Thank you again for sharing your life in photos and words. Thank you for admitting that things sometimes aren't as exciting as you might like when it comes to doing something like WITL. It was great to read about your insight into choices. I am at a place like that now. I have realized that I'm too caught up in little things and things I have been doing just because. I'm trying to consider my choices and whether they are just habitual or really mean something to my life. My word this year is FOCUS and I'm really trying to do that. I didn't take many pictures this past week. I basically make my Project Life week one of WITL too by adding in an insert with pictures just of everyday life, some of the thigns we take for granted.

This was my first time trying out WITL. I am so geeked by the whole thing now that it's over. I said on Monday that my life is so mundane and boring, but going through my photos and notes last night made me realize that it's quite lovely in all its repetative pattern. So, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to stop and notice that!
Also, I just wanted to comment on the impression your photos have had on me! Your house seem like such a warm and soothing place - not the physical aspect, but the atmoshere. And you seem to be very grounded in who you are. I know, from reading your blog that with all things that have happened lately this might not always be the case in real life. I just wanted to tell you that reading your blogposts this week have left me feeling good and serene almost. :)

Off the beaten path a bit... is your newsletter the same thing as 52 Creative Lifts? Or are they two different things? Thanks!
