I put together a couple videos over the last few days to share with you related to Week In The Life.
First up is a 20-minute overview of my completed Week In The Life album. Second is a how-to for creating the pages that combine a divided page protector and a transparency. Third is a video that shows you how to change up the Week In The Life Vol 4 layered template to add another photo vs. the journal block.

Nope - seeing what's up with that now. I have to get the kids ready and off to school so if it's longer than a quick fix it might be later today before it's up and running.

Wow. That was fantastic Ali! Thank you SO much. I can't wait to try again when I get home. These videos surely open doors for me to try these things with you - I am thinking I might give this a-go next time. (Well, maybe a day in the life - for a month). That is something that I can commit to - for certain!

Thank you for the videos and for always cataloging your blogs. This year I decided to do witl even with project life and I ended up having gall bladder surgery on that Monday. I did the week, but it is very simple--1 8x10 with your banners and the next page is 3 pics with the journalling down the right border. I loved how you used the transparencies with the smaller pictures. Can't wait to use it for next year! It should be easy to find your old blogs when the time comes!

hi ali, this was my first time doing WITL and my first time digital scrpabooking. your video tutorials helped tremendously. may i say that i LOVE LOVE LOVE the outcome of this project? so much so that i signed up and started your 31 things class.
QUESTION: some of my pictures while digital scrapbook turned out wonky. is there a way to retain the size of the picture so that my kids don't look like they're looking in one of those funky mirrors at the circus?

on a side note, not sure where on your blog i read about you save a list of books you'd like to read on amazon... did you know that if you're a PRIME member, you can "borrow" one book a month on your ereader?

So cool Pearl - thanks for the feedback! My guess with your photos is that either you aren't maintaining the correct proportions (if you are using Photoshop vs. Elements you need to hold down the shift key to keep the proportions of the photo correct without distortion) OR that the resolution of your photos are too low (either how it's set up in your camera or when you are working with them in Photoshop). You'll want them to be high resolution which in general translates to 300dpi.
And I did not know that about PRIME membership (I'm already a member - awesome to know). Thank you!

Wonderful, wonderful tutorials!! I loved seeing your album in this way. I've been using the Hambly overlays on my Project Life too. The washi tape idea was great too.Thanks for sharing.

Ali, thank you so much for answering my question on how to change the journal section on your layered templates to a photo. Your videos are always trumendously helpful. Loved this project and I'm excited to wrap up my book!

I was SO dreading fighting with my sewing machine to make those in-between transparency pages! Thanks so much for sharing the washi tape version. I think I'm going to give that a try!

Thank you so much for the tutorials! This was my first 'big' digital project and I figured out how to resize the photos easily enough but it was a complicated copy/paste affair to add another photo. This is so much easier. I ended up using the large 2011 photo pages (because my main photos looked better cropped) with the 2012 collage pages (with the margins adjusted to match) and love the look. Thank you so much for the inspiration and products to make it possible.
