Today I'm sharing a video overview of the contents of the December Daily™ kit from Studio Calico.
I'm super excited to get going on this project - always one of my most favorite each year! I plan to put my album together later this month and will share my process as I go.

EDITED TO ADD: The blue tape I show in this video was mistakenly added to my kit - it is not actually included with the December Daily™ kit. The kit does include silver glitter ribbon (along with gold). Also included in this kit is a set of enamel dots that were left out of my box before shipping. I apologize for any confusion that might have caused.

Love that kit. WOW. Gorgeous. Since you do more of a daily life for your December Daily vs. just focused on Christmas, do you still do your project life album? Do they overlap, do you try and tell different stories in each or just whatever works?

AWE.. I love it, Cant wait! Thank you so much for sharing! I love that they are using the Project Life kit magnetic boxes to store it in. Makes it easier to put away when you aren't working on it.
Ali, I know there is a digital stamp set, but will you be doing the date overlays like last year?

Wow beautiful kit! I love the album and the paper pack. This is the first year I will be doing December Daily...so excited! I was planning to buy the kit, but the $100 price tag took me by surprise. I think next year I am just going to set aside $10 a month for the kit. Seems easier to handle when you do a little planning. :) Thanks! Can't wait to follow you along and see what you do.

One thing I have always secretly (until now) hoped for is for the December "Daily" album to go through (or have embellishments enough for) the full 31 days as my family does much of the fun stuff over Christmas through New Year's. I realize (and I have done so in the past) I can use my own stash and create my own numbers etc, but it would be nice to have an option to by the extra numbers, embellishments for the remaining days of December for continuity throughout the album. It might not be cost effective from a manufacturing standpoint, but I think there may be enough interest to look into it anyways? FWIW.

Thanks for the feedback Suz! One of the cool things in this kit is that the stamp set includes numbers - for customizing lots of things but especially the dates. I'll pass your comment along to Studio Calico.
I am along with Suz. We always travel and that means multiple Christmas mornings, and also my time with my family is always a couple days over New Years, so my December Daily starts at Thanksgiving time, and runs through the first couple days of January. Last year, I used 6X8 Snap albums, and filled 2!! It took me til June to finish ;) I went mostly with Oct Afternoon stuff because the SC DD was too small to house my December :) This year... I'm stoked!! I need another album though. Hahahaa

I did not buy the studio calico kit because I bought a vintage doll house instead.. but can you advise me on which binder to get as I still want to do the December daily with you.Pretend you didn't buy the SC kit and walk us thru what to get. many thanks. If you saw the vintage doll house I got you would have done the same thing. ..LOL.

It looks fabulous! This pre-order was one of my last purchases before I put myself on a shopping stop (there's a wedding coming, baby plans and a wish for a house...). So I wondered if I would regret it in the end. But nope, don't think I will. :)
It looks great and I LOVE the less traditional colour scheme. I was surprised though. I this the original kit? Because some of the items don't seem to be on the content list? I don't think I saw that blue glitter tape you showed in the beginning. And I think the very thin gold-striped washi looks super neat. Might try to order that with the kit otherwise. But well, I'll be happy anyway and can't wait to see what everyone will do with it.

Ah, no problem. I was more fascinated by the ulta skinny washi and that's in there. It just puzzled me. But hey, it's not like anyone will have stock problems with THAT kit on the table!
Oh, never mind. I was just blind and now found the ulta-skinny in the contents and preview. Yay!
Hi again! Found out that the blue glitter tape was accidentally included in my box. That tape is NOT in this kit but will be included in another kit offered by Studio Calico before the end of the year.

Just a quick up date . You replied to me this morning regarding the SC December Daily kit I am the lady who bought the doll house instead of the kit. Well I broke down after seeing your demonstration of the kit and bought one. We can do this together now. PS. Don't tell husband. lol

I am so super excited!! Don't know how fabulous Christmas will be this year for my daughter and myself, but I vow to make it as special as I possibly can, and document whatever magic we can create. My only caveat is how bulky my albums have been in the past years, especially last year...things get smashed and warped and pages are bent, and I've noticed that the white text printing on some of the photos done in Photoshop has faded and is yellowing....I think new strategies are needed this year, what do you all think?

december daily is my favorite project that you do.. can't wait to see it in person..

I worked with Studio Calico to select the products for this kit (we call it "creative direction"). December Daily™ is a trademark of Ali Edwards Design Inc and Studio Calico has my permission to use that trademark for the name of this kit.

I love,love,love the kit, can't wait to get mine. I'm from Sydney, Australia and we have a very busy Christmas coming up with a wedding ( one of my 4 boys) in the middle of the Christmas cheer. It's going to make an interesting album!!! Magic time of year.Thanks for all your wonderful ideas Ali.

I had to look, even though my kit is in the mail. I love that it isn't winter (except for the pile of logs paper) or dark, as Christmas is in Summer for us. Having a lot of light blue is so great, considering a lot of our fun is around the pool and the beach. Snow flakes etc are so inappropriate even though there are days when there is a bit of wishful thinking for cooler weather! I appreciate the box to keep it all in as crafty stuff has a tendency to spread. I am putting on the finishing touches to 2011 (oh dear) but am looking forward to including that album in my Christmas decorating. Thank you for the ongoing inspiration.
