New Digital Products Now Available
Hey guys! I'm excited to let you know that you can now purchase new digital products from me here at aliedwards.com.
I'll be keeping a schedule similar to what I had in the past with new digital product uploads happening each Tuesday. This week I've got eight new products for you to check out and add to your memory keeping toolbox.
We will be adding physical products (stamps, art prints, general supplies) to the shop over the next few weeks.
HOW IT WORKS // VIDEO OVERVIEW
I've put together a video to show you how the process works including where you can find your digital products after you've purchased them, how to download and how you can organize them under the My Digital Files tab.
When you purchase digital products via aliedwards.com you will have immediate access to them via your My Digital Files drop-down menu (under your username up in the top right corner).
Once you click on My Digital Files you will be taken to a new page where you can organize your digital purchases. On that page you create folders to easily organize your digital products. You can move products between folders and then click on the preview image to download or move to a different folder.
WHAT'S NEXT
Next up this week will be the preorder for a Week In The Life kit. I'll be doing Week In The Life this year from October 27th through November 2nd and using this kit as the base for my album. As in year's past I'll be offering supporting digital products and printables to help you tell the story of your week. For more information on this project check out my Week In The Life projects page.
In addition I'll be launching registration for a new workshop, The Lens Of Joy. This will be a 4-week workshop, running in the month of November, that walks you through my photo processes (the way I see through the lens, how I edit my photos, how I use photos to help tell my stories) and encourages you to examine your own relationship with your camera, images and stories. More details to come later this week.
AGAIN, THANK YOU
I just want to say thank you again for all your support since the launch of this new site. It's been an awesome feeling to have so much positive feedback. The beginning phases are always a little crazy as we all get used to the new processes, get things added to the shop, learn the new navigation, etc. As always, I appreciate you coming along on this journey and don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.

Just checked on that and that's a feature they are working currently working to set up. Cool.

AWESOME!!! That's just so cool! I'm in. Everything! Story stamp, story kit, week in the life, and now a photography workshop!!! DREAM COME TRUE. I also wanted to say a deep heartfelt thank you Ali for doing it all in advance, as we international customers get so bummed when everybody is already having fun with a project and we're still waiting for the supplies to come. I mean, I have to wait at least 45 days till I get what I ordered; but if the week in the life kit is going to be available this month, well, I have all the chances to get all the supplies I'll need before the fun begins! Will your digital products be available in PNG format as well as brushes or will they be brushes only? I prefer PNG over brushes.
I just clicked on one and they come in both .png and .abr format. So yay - I like .png better too!
Always PNG! Always. That's what I use too - I include the ABR for those who want that too.

Yay! I have already been thinking about how I want to organize Week in the Life. My goal is to simplify. I want to actually FINISH the album this year. I am ready to be inspired. Ha! :) Love the new site, and I'm excited to see all the new stuff and ideas roll out. --Jenny B.
P.S. Is there a way to make my name show with my comment rather than my SC / AE username?

What does PNG Format mean? I have watched the video of getting started with digital but I still have questions...does PNG mean that I can print the digital image?

Hi! PNG means that each individual file (like one of the circles in the image above) has a transparent background and can be added to a photo in Photoshop. It can also be inserted like a picture into Word and printed out. I cannot wait to see what the Week in the Life kit looks like! When will the December Daily kit preorder begin? It seems like it usually happens around early September.
This year it will be early October for ordering December Daily. It's been a few different times over the years :).

This is fabulous Ali! Kudos to you and your team. Is there a way to make a wish list of things that I want to buy in the future?

Does a 'preorder' of the Week in the Life kit mean that it will sell out? Is there a limited number? Will I have to be awake at midnight to race others to the kit?
On another note, I love how your new website reflects who YOU are and what you stand for. Well done!
We think we ordered enough to meet the initial demand. There will be a limited number because that's just how it works :).
My apologies if that sounded harsh. I just reread how I worded my question and hope that I did not offend. I really am interested in the digital downloads and if I now understand more clearly, those are accessible separate from the kit. Is that correct?
Oh not at all - I totally got it :). Hard to communicate this way sometimes, isn't it? There will be digital pieces that will be available in addition/separate from the WITL kit. There won't be a completely digital kit that repeats the same designs. Does that make sense?

Are all the digital products etc, separate from the kit - or are there some exclusive things in the kit (like stamps with a digital option) asking because I have found doing all digital works for me to actually do it and I would have to miss out on some digitally things because I didn't get the kit.(which i don't need because the only way i will finish the project is digitally.)
Also will there be a picture of the kit on the preorder?
Hi! Digital products will be separate from the kit (similar to what I've done for December Daily). There will be an image of the entire kit when it goes up for pre-order.

Hey Ali, quick question about the downloads organization area... Will the be a limited number of downloads (like you can only download a particular product a total of 5 times)? I was just thinking that if it had unlimited downloads, then I could download the products when I need to use them, and then delete them from my hard drive, but still be able to come back and download them again when needed, if that makes sense. :)
