December Daily® Digital Products & Printables Now Available & Updates
Hey guys!
Lots of work happening behind the scenes here around here right now which makes for a quiet blog. I pretty much have every project going at once this year: a workshop (Lens Of Joy - if you missed this round I'll run it again sometime next year), December Daily®, Week In The Life™, and the Story Subscription.
Here's a bit about where I'm at with each:
December Daily® | Kits were shipped (expedited 2-3 day) to domestic customers on Monday so you should be getting them any day if you haven't already (minus the album that will be shipped this Friday). International kits + albums will ship expedited this Friday. Thank you for all the kind words of support as we worked our way through getting the albums released from customs and on their way to you. I love reading the positive comments from people who now have the kit in their hands. I'll be working on my foundation pages this weekend and hope to have something to share before Thanksgiving.
Week In The Life™ | I spent most of today (Wednesday) printing photos (slow) and making progress on my album (also slow). I think it might be because I really want to get all those words I included in my blog post + the different sized images.
Story Stamp™ & Story Kit™ Subscriptions | We are in the process of getting the new products into the warehouse and photographed and will launch the Story Kit™ once those are in place and the page is ready. I'm excited to share the next evolution of the Story Subscriptions with you.

The new December Daily Digitals look amazing! And yeah to the kits being shipped - I'm looking forward to seeing all the lovely items you have selected this year. I know that I won't work on the album during December (it blows my mind how you do that) so the delay doesn't worry me at all. I'm actually working on my 2013 album now (using last year's Kit) and it's so much fun. I'm hoping to be finished before the new kit arrives.

So glad to see the printable 6x8 overlays for card stock. I used these in 2011 and they were my favorite. I am SO doing that again this year. Made planning so much easier and I liked the patterned paper on the bottom. I am a traditional scrapper, the digital stuff is too technical for me, although I am trying to do better with it. Thank you!

Saw the digital products last night (because I'm always checking the digital shop for more goodies) and Bam! there were a ton in there and they are so awesome and I'm getting super excited for December Daily again. Thank you for the updates. I think keeping your customers in the loop is super important! The more we know the less frustrated we get. Got my DD kit yesterday and was so excited. Looking forward to what your foundation pages look like this year.

I love all of your new digital items Ali. The only problem I see is that I can't get them all, LOL. Thanks for offering the combo pack for the December Daily overlays. I appreciate the price break (and so does my checkbook.) Are you going to be offering a combo pack for the stories templates as well?

Thank you for sending the kit without the album so we can start planning out album. It was greatly appreciated that you told us there was a delay & why. I received mine yesterday and it was worth the wait. I can't wait to see your foundation pages for more inspiration. Also I'm super excited to see the Story kit. Keep up the good work Ali!

Got my kit yesterday and I LOVE it! I was actually most excited for 'the story of today' on the stamp set - I was almost going to ask you to do something like that for WITL, since that was a prompt you used for one of the days, and now I don't have to! I see so much versatility with the DD kit, not just for Christmas (which there is plenty of awesome stuff) but carryover into Project Life and other projects.

I am blessed to be called "Mom" by Chris, 23, and Dan, 18. There are big things happening in their lives. Chris is engaged and will be married in June. Dan is graduating and will be heading to college. I've done all the "Big Ali Projects", and I must tell you that none warm my heart more than December Daily. Now that my family content is changing so profoundly, and my children are grown, I am so, so grateful that December Daily provided the platform to become so intentional about those December days past, when they could have been so easily consumed by the whirlwind. Love your new digital products - would you consider doing a combo of the 6x8 and 4x6 layered templates for those of us who want to include Christmas stuff in our Project Life but are also doing the 6x8 December Daily?

just wonderful ali! i've already downloaded the overlays combo, but wondering how you get the block of stars along the bottom of the 6x8 and the red stars on the side of the 4x6 please? thank you!
Hi! Those are digital pattern papers (and a printed pattern that was used in the kit this year for paper) we used as an example to show how you can add pattern paper there. You can grab that digital paper here: http://www.designerdigitals.com/digital-scrapbooking/supplies/product_info.php/products_id/14921
And if I misunderstood your question, which is totally possible, you can either cut pattern paper to fit in that spot if you are printing out the overlays or you can place digital pattern paper in that space on your computer :).

Any idea when you'll post an overview of the base pages made from this year's kit? I'm reluctant to put together my own base pages until I see what Ali has done with them.
Hi! Been working on them this weekend and will share on Monday! It will be similar to last year in terms of being "loose" with the ability to move things around as the stories present themselves over the course of the month.

Got my DD kit last week and received my album today! Such Great customer service! I was so excited to get it, but have to admit I was a little disappointed in the color. I thought I would get a "RED" album, but in my opinion the color is more of a peach or salmon looking color! If I would have seen samples of the colors, I think I would have gone with cream! I am still excited to begin and looking forward to the first video!
Yes, I was disappointed in the "Red" color, as well. The color of my "Red" album matches perfectly to the TANGERINE album I have from We R Memory... I complained, sort of, but they said it matched the color sample provided when we ordered the albums. I don't remember seeing a sample, BUT, life is short, and this isn't a biggie, I guess. But the album is ORANGE, not Holiday/Christmas RED, IMHO. I would have ordered the off-white, as well, had I seen the red was going to be orange.
I totally agree with everything you said sneakerwaves! Not a life changing thing and I am still excited to start and very curious to see what Ali does with the album cover!

I am so, so excited about this kit and love all the inside pieces and designs. Allie you did a great job! I have to agree with Flaherty5 though and say, I was disappointed when I received the "red" album. It doesn't really match the rest of the kit since it's not a true red. Wish I had ordered the white album.

I had to go out of town when my DD kit arrived, so I just had a chance to unpack it today. All the pieces are even more wonderful than I had imagined! Thank you for sending the kit early, without the album (although I probably won't have time to do anything with this until Thanksgiving Break). Have a fabulous day:)

Agreeing with everyone about the "red" - not at all what I expected or thought I was ordering. I have already requested an exchange, and am being told that I will be charged shipping (!?). Though I am very disappointed in the album, I am excited about everything else in the December Daily kit. I can't wait to get started!
Yep, I'm not happy with it at all. I don't think it was unrealistic to expect a Christmas red album based on all of the past years of kits. And to be told I can exchange it and pay extra for shipping after already spending a hundred bucks. No thanks. I love the kit but this album just makes me very disappointed. I guess I could've switched had I not missed that one blog post...might have been helpful to email customers. Lesson learned, I won't pre-order a kit again.
I'm sorry for the disappointment you guys. Definitely not my intention at all. Lots of lessons learned for me this year too.

Why is my album such an odd color, not anything close to as described and nothing I would use as a Christmas album. Very dissatisfied! However the rest of the kit I received last week is amazing, thank you for putting it together so well.
