December Daily® 2014 | Day Eleven + One Little Word® 2015 Workshop Open For Registration
Welcome to December Daily® 2014 | Day Eleven.
So here's the truth: today I sat and stared at this journaling card for way too long.
I went downstairs. I took some photos around the house. I came back upstairs. I stared at the card again. What do I want to say today?
When that kind of thing happens to me, when I get stuck or feel uninspired, I take it back to the very basics, which is exactly what I ended up doing.
The story of today is... The story of today is... The story of today is...
Here's a look at what I ended up with for Day Eleven:
I loved that very everyday shot of books, table, chairs, tree + George sleeping on that little bench. I added one of the glitter trees + the "merry and bright" banner on top of my photo.
It's simple. It doesn't take a lot of time. And it's a slice of what's real around here this holiday season.
And here's what I ended up with for Day Ten (had been waiting to take photos at Anna's Christmas concert):
Seriously. She was great as a singing pig - and she had so much fun.
I decided to add a photo to the bottom card as well (which was in place from my Foundation pages). I really like how it turned out with the diagonal cuts to the photo and the addition of the music note. I just pulled up the #10 and then re-adhered it after I added the photo to the 4x6 pattern paper.

I really like the diagonal card change up for Day 10 and thank you for showing that you too struggle with what stories to tell sometimes :)

1. Great ideas! As always. The diagonal photo on top of that card is great!
2. HARRY POTTER CLUB???? Man, I want to be part of a Harry Potter Club!
I know, right? I would totally join too :).

I am trying to find my word. I feel really drawn to the word "imperfect" I know that it has kinda of a negative connotation. Does that make it a bad choice for a word. I was kind of thinking of it more in terms of "perfectly imperfect" What are your thoughts?

I like what you did with both days 10 and 11 photos. That banner and tiny glitter tree adds so much, but it's a lovely photo to begin with. And the diagonal card, real neat. So grateful for OLW, thank you. Michelle t

Lovely! I did something similar. I used the "Currently" prompt from rukristin to document what I was up to one day. I do feel like I'm not taking enough pictures though. I may just walk around my house today and take a few as well. :) Desiree

Hi Ali are the monthly prompts for one little word changeing at all??
Thanks
Loveing you DD album
Some will be new and some will be the same (mainly because new words re-act differently with the same prompts) - that's the way I've done it for the last four years for the workshop :).
Thanks Ali

What a great use for the music note! Love Anna's outfit - glad she had fun at the Christmas concert.
I was wondering, could you show us at the end of December Daily what items you have leftover from your kit and ways you might be using them in other projects after December Daily? I love love love the contents of the kit but I know I'm not using everything and so I'm curious what you won't be using either and what you will do those things afterwards.

Hi--a question about One Little Word 2015. When I signed up for 2014 I remember that we were promised to receive access to future years as well. Is that still true? How do we sign up again if we are currently enrolled in this year?
Hi - all 2014 students continue to have access to the 2014 content (as has been the case with all past versions of this workshop - each year you pay for you continue to have access to that year of content). All students re-enroll each year if they want access to the content for the new year. It's never been set up as a one-time payment workshop with access to all future years.

Loving all of your inspiration, Ali! I'm looking forward to more! Question about your Story Kits subscription. Where is the option for just the digital version? It's on my wish list for Christmas and when I click on the pre-order, it doesn't give me an option for the specific kit. I just don't my the hubs to be confused when he goes to order (he can be a little technically challenged sometimes)! Also, thanks so much for providing your readers the opportunity to link their DD pages on your blog. I apologize for the double link on mine today. The first one accidentally had a space added right before the "http" and wasn't working!
Hi! It will be available on Monday :).

Loved the prompt of 'The story of today' and used it too for my words today. Thank you for all the inspiration this December.
