Because Choosing Glasses Should Be Fun
Tags:
Hi, my name is Ali Edwards and I wear glasses.
Every single day.
I remember being in grade school and dreaming about how I would love to be able to wear glasses (which of course Anna asks for from time to time now too). When it became a reality I was actually excited but as I've gotten older sometimes they just seem more annoying than anything else. One of the things that has started to make it fun is having more than one pair at a time. For twenty plus years I had one pair at a time. Over the last year, through my partnership with David Kind, owning more than one pair has made it fun because they've become more of an accessory (and you know I don't really do a lot of those either) rather than just picking up the same pair everyday.
Bring on the "fun" Ali, right?
Last year I partnered with David Kind to share my process of selecting glasses using their awesome try-on-at-home service. You can read about my experience last time here and here. I have loved going back and forth between the green and black pairs. It usually comes down to which one is sitting next to my bed when I get up in the morning.
I'm back again with another round of silly photos of me showing the pairs I have to choose from this time. And, as I did last year, I'd love to have your input. I've got a couple pairs I'm leaning towards of course, but it's always fun to have this be a community vote.
So here's the deal, this time I'm looking to mix things up and was most excited to check out the thick clear pairs.

I've really enjoyed the process of working with David Kind and the process for receiving and sending back the glasses is super easy. A new thing they have happening now is that rather than having a stylist choose all six pairs for your try-on box, you choose three and the stylist chooses three.
Happy Monday! I hope you have a great week!

My favorite and first choice is #3, second choice is #2. Personally, I think #4 and #5 wash you out too much.

#3 would be my first choice, then #2. They frame your face very well and let your lovely eyes show the best!
#4 is interesting - I would never think of going clear!
What a fun idea! Shopping for glasses can be such a pain when there are hundreds to look at!

So fun! I can't believe it's already been a year since you got those last glasses! Time flies. Ok, here are my thoughts... I hesitate to say anything negative because, well... what if your favorite is one that I don't like? But... I think you want to know what we think so, here goes... :) My top two picks are #2 and #4. They fit your face well. I was doubting the clear frames idea when I looked at them in the case, but #4 actually looks really cute on you. I think #1, #5, and #6 are too big for your face. #5 (the larger clear ones) look a little 80's grandma-ish to me, and the larger glass on all three of those sits lower on your cheeks, which brings your whole face down. The smaller frames bring your face up and make you look younger and more cheerful. #3 is fine, but they remind me of your old ones (from before you got the last two from David Kind), so I'm thinking you're probably not going to choose them. Hope that helps! :) -Jenny B. Edit: After looking at them all again, I had to add that I think #6 is good too. I looked back at the close-ups of the frames in the box, and I like the stripey design on both #2 and #6, so I would say, if you like that too, then either of those would be good. #6 is larger, but it's still not as big as #1, which I think is definitely too big. :)

They all look great! I think 5 is a fun pair, and I like the roundness of the frames of 6 on you! Up until now, contacts have also always been my first choice, but I finally upgraded my glasses to a more fun pair and I love wearing them!
