Project Life® 2017 | Week Eight

I took some time this past weekend to get back on track with Project Life®

First up is Week 08 - the week that Aaron and I spent in Mexico. You can read all about that adventure here (I simply copied and pasted that blog post for my journaling in this spread).

This will likely be the extent to which I document this experience. I don't have any plans to make a separate travel album or engagement album. I love that this story can be told right here within my Project Life® album.

Here's a look at how I incorporated my photos and story right into my spread:

As you can see, the spread really ended up being a lot of photos which was how I wanted it to be.

To hold the extra pieces of my story from this week I included a 6x6 envelope (love these for tickets, cards, brochures, etc) and two, 6x12 inserts: the divided one and the full page one.

My title card for this week is from the Bond Story Kit™ with one of our room keys (love that they were branded for the event) adhered on top.

Along the edges of both inserts I added an Avery Index Tab (back in stock in my shop). I used my Phrases Roller Stamp to add the sentiments inside the tabs.

Again, love the Project Life® envelope for holding some of the extras including one of our drink stirrers.

On top of my photos I added a few different embellishments across the spread. The small rubber hearts are from Crate Paper's Heart Day Collection (still available at Scrapbook.com at the time I'm writing this post). Those were part of my last Storytelling Stash Update. I used red line tape to adhere these to the outside of my page protectors.

The other embellishments I added were some small circles with gold foil text that are included with the Day In The Life™ No. 3 Mini Kit (I stapled those on using a Tiny Attacher) and cork pieces from the Bond Story Kit™

Journaling (copied and pasted from my blog post) was printed on two sheets of 6x12 paper (cut down from 8.5x14) and inserted into the full page 6x12 page protector

The divided 6x12 page protector holds my photos and the full page holds my story.

As I've been doing with each week in 2017 I also included a gratitude card from my Gratitude Notepad.

And here's what the spread looks like without any inserts:

Don't forget that you can cut 4x6 photos in half and insert each half into a 3x4 pocket. I did that here in two spots and love how it turned out.

Love this LO...and the story, of course! Congratulations, again! When I saw the PL 6by6 envelopes, I knew I had to have them. I do a LOT of travel albums and always have "stuff" that I want to include but that just doesn't really fit a regular page. I found them in the Becky's PL site on clearance for $4. Don't know how many are left (I bought 5 packages) but here's the link (which will hopefully come up when I post this)...https://www.shopbeckyhiggins.com/products/6x6-envelope-pages-physical-accessories

Super super page, and love that it doesn't have to be a whole album. Love those two photo's over two smaller pockets.

What a memorable week. Love this layout. Some weeks I have a lot of photos to use and I'm not sure how best to do that. Thanks for the inspiration. Also love the pocket idea. I will definitely be doing that. Congratulations on your engagement. It's nice to see you so happy again. :)

Awesome layout! thank you again for being so generous in sharing your life! I do have a question.. you mention you printed your journaling on 8.5x14.. is this just regular copy paper (legal size) or cardstock/photopaper of some kind?
