Project Life® 2018 | Week Three
Welcome to Project Life® 2018 | Week Three.
This week I decided to play around with big handwriting on most of my photos using a white POSCA pen. You can read a white pen review post I wrote last year here.
Here's a closer look at Week Three:
My current Project Life® documenting rhythm seems to be picking out a couple products and then using them repeatedly throughout my spread. This week it's handwriting on photos (going bigger than usual) + a white puffy star (an Add On item from the Best Story Kit™). This continues to be one of my favorite ways to use up my products vs. hoarding them or saving them for the "perfect" project.
Along with handwriting on most of my photos I added a few other journal cards to tell the story of my week.
"Note To Self" is from the 3x4 Paper Pad available here. Ready, Set, Go and the Write It On Your Heart cards are both from the January Stories By The Month™ kit.
I cut up some more of the Changes Story Stamp™ Story Card Add Ons again for my title card (I used those a bunch in Week 02). Party On was part of the January Stories By The Month™ kit.
On some of my photos that were much lighter in color I used a Staedtler Lumocolor Pen. It was also a nice "sub-head" to go along with some of the bigger white words.
When I'm writing directly on my photos I'm always looking for space to fit my words "into" my photos. It's a fun graphic way to mix things up.
Here's a process video for Week Three:

Ali, do you happen to have any video/tips for printing on your Epson Picturemate? (assuming you are still using it) I tried searching your blog, i would love a video or any tips, is this anything you would consider? Thanks!
Hi! What kind of tips are you looking for? I use the PictureMate PM400 and it's connected to my computer (I don't print directly from my phone). I edit photos first in either Photoshop or Aperture and then print.
Hi Audmac! I also print using my Epson Picturemate. I print from my iMac while I am in Photos. I can print with or without borders or if I want it smaller, I print custom 3x4 and just cut it down to size. I also print from Photoshop if I want to edit something. But most of the time I'm in a hurry, put a filter on it in the Photos software and print. I never print directly from the printer, it is always from my computer. Hope this helps!

I LOVE when you do process videos! I know it's not doable to do them every week, I just wanted you to know that I LOVE when you do them and I ALWAYS watch them. You are so inspiring. I always feel like I need to clean up my mess when I watch your videos and process LOL. I am planning to do mostly project life this year b/c of my life and the schedule we have. It's what will work for me this year and I'm SUPER excited! Thank you for the inspiration!
Ditto! Always so inspiring!

Is there any concern with the notepaper going yellow over time faster than the cards might??

Was the Posca pen an extra fine point or just fine point?
For this one I was using one of the thicker pens.
