Simon's Eagle Scout Project Is Underway + He Needs Your Help
Tags:
Greetings, Exalted Ones.
Allow me to introduce myself: I’m Simon Edwards, Life Scout of Boy Scout Troop 175.

For my Eagle Scout Project I’m planning to organize and donate legos to Cesar Chavez Elementary School in Eugene, Oregon so that each classroom can have its own box. Legos have been in my life since I was 4 and I have loved the opportunity to be creative with them. And as a former Chavez Elementary School student, I feel this project will be the perfect way to repay them for teaching and supporting me.
Here’s where I need your help: In addition to my personal collection of legos that I will be donating, I need to collect additional legos to go into the boxes for Chavez.
I’m asking my community to donate legos you don’t need anymore or make a financial donation that will go towards purchasing additional legos for this project.
Please consider contributing to my project!
Here are ways you can help:
Send used or new legos (any kind is fine - I will be cleaning, sorting, and organizing them into boxes for the classrooms) to P.O. Box 247, 1056 Green Acres Rd, Eugene, OR, 97408
Send a check made out to "Troop 175" for the purchase of additional legos to P.O. Box 247, 1056 Green Acres Rd, Eugene, OR, 97408
Make a financial donation for the purchase of legos online via my Go Fund Me campaign
Deadline for donations: December 7th, 2019.
Thank you so much for considering supporting my Eagle Scout Project.

Can you use Duplos for the younger grades? My grandson has outgrown them and I have a bucket of Duplos at my house. What a wonderful project, Simon!

Oh Simon! What a perfect Eagle project for you. It will make a tremendous impact on the kids at the school. And you are going to be surprised how many lego donations you will recieve, I just know it. My First Class and Star Scouts were just discussing what to do with the volume of Lego they have and they loved the idea of donating them to your project. We will get them to you before your deadline. Best of luck!!

Good Job! I will get a box for you. Three of my sons made Eagle, it is well worth your effort, when they entered the military it boosted them up a rank! Keep up the good work!

So sorry for the delay, but my boys are sending their Legos today via USPS priority! We have had a busy few weeks with a wedding, the holiday, and a honeymoon.
Can’t wait to see the results of your project, Simon!!!

I missed this from long ago... did Simon meet his goal or does he still need legos? We could ship some out this week.

I mailed Simon (via Troop 175 P.O. Box) a check with a congratulations note inside an M.C. Escher card I thought he would enjoy. Sent it next day that this was posted from Gleneden Beach, OR to Eugene, OR. The check still hasn't been cashed. Do you need to contact the Troop or has it been lost in mail, etc? Thank you.
