December Daily® 2019 | Story Nine

Welcome to Story #9 December Daily® 2019.
Today I'm sharing a story without words. I decided I wanted to play a bit with creating a pattern on the back side of my photo and focused on that vs. a written story. I always love the reminder that this project is the sum of all the parts. Some days may have a long story and others may be super short. What's important to me is a mix of the two.
A quick reminder that you can check out my Foundation Pages post to see my starting place for my project his year.
Here's a look at how this story came together:

For this day I took a photo of my front porch and printed it to the size of the page protectors (7.25 inch x 4.25 inch).
I knew that I wanted to play around with creating a pattern on the back of the photo using either tags or circles from this year's collection. I ended up going with the circles.

From my foundation pages + Product Play 3 this day begins with a wreath created using fabric circle embellishments.
Inside the wreath I added a fabric heart from the Variety Sticker Bundle.

Love how the back of the fabric heart looks just like that when it's adhered to the transparent page.

I decided to not put anything on top of the photo and just play on the back. I added a piece of white cardstock and created a pattern of circles:

Loved playing around with a variety of circle textures and sizes from this year's December Daily® collection (including the Advent Calendar).

I added an eyelet (for the first time in years) to the large circle tag and threaded some red/white twine through the hole.

Love all the circles! Is the large cork "Merry Christmas" and the red "jingle all the way" both from the advent calendar? Also I *love* your red door!

Yes - both from the Advent Calendar.

What also makes your circle page look so nice is how it mirrors the 0 in your day 10.

I always love your videos! But I especially love this one... it feels like we are all sitting right there in your work space working along side of you. The conversation you are having with us is just so awesome... "Pretend that didn't happen!" Love you ALI!

Ali, I have absolutely loved every day’s embellishments and designs this year! Really great! This one is a favourite for sure. I may scraplift your entire book this year. And I finally get why it is so good to do foundation pages. Next year I will do them for sure. Don’t know if it’s a change in me, or how/what you are doing, but every day I have just been delighted with what you have done. Thank you for sharing all this!

I don’t have a story for every single day so today I’m sharing the gift page I made for my daughter. I guess that is today’s story of Christmas past!

You are so funny Ali! Loved the circles , jealous of that front door and adored your 'craziness' with the eyelet, lol. I have a stash of those that I'm gonna use all over ; ) Thanks so much for doing these videos.

Love the idea of a wordless story. It allows you to focus on some of the beautiful/favorite visual aspects of the season. Idea noted... :)
