Fly, She Hears

Sometime last year I ordered this little notebook from The Sketchbook Project. I didn't register it in time to participate in one of their permanent collections at the Brooklyn Art Library but I did add it to my pile of future things to play around with or use for something or other.
Right now I'm playing in a bunch of different sketch books/art journals of varying sizes. I'm trying to keep it as low key and non-project like as possible since so much of what I do with memory keeping is more "project" based.

What is the attribution of that quote? Love it! Perfect for my daughter as she goes off to college this fall.

I wrote it myself :). Trying to do that a little more.

Love the recent art posts. Feeling inspired and found so much joy (my olw) getting out my paints and making art too. Thanks for the reminder to get creative and messy and just put my brush to paper and take joy in the process.

I love that you are following your heart and taking action! And I especially love that you are doing it in a way that feels right to you. So love this whole piece of who you are. (insert heart emoji here).

I read in the comments that you wrote this quote. I love it!!!!!! It's beautiful...WOW do I love it! I've been art journaling for many years but I find I "think" about it far more than I "do" it. You've inspired me to drag out my "stuff" again and "get messy" just for fun. Looking forward to following your journey with this!

How is it that everything here looks bright and gorgeous? All of my mixed media efforts turn to mud. I guess I need to take a class on how to use the materials since I don't know where to start. Any ideas? https://slopeonline.co
