December Daily® 2020 | Story Twelve

For my 12th December Daily® story I decided to feature the wrapping paper I'm using this year (from Paper Source + Anthropologie).
I knew I would be working with the half-circle base page because I want to use the other side for a story tomorrow. My initial idea turned into a fun adventure adding a bunch of word/phrase pieces and turning the whole half circle into a shaker. Check out the video for the full how-to details.
As you'll see above today's story doesn't include any words. You could easily add a story in the location where I added word/phrase stickers or add a second half circle if you have a longer story. I honestly didn't have much to say about the papers this time around so this approach worked just fine for me today.
Here's a look at how this one came together:
Now let's take a closer look via images:

I initially printed my wrapping paper photo into a square that was 8.25 inches x 8.25 inches. I used the half-circle die cut as my template to trim out the photo. I intentionally took the photo of my wrapping paper with a white top section so I could add something to the top - that ended up being word/phrase stickers.
Next I grabbed a piece of thinner transparency and cut it to the same half circle shape. I ran the transparency and the photo page through my sewing machine + left an opening that allowed me to add in the green sequins, the white sequins, the chipboard heart, and the white wood stars. After adding all those pieces I stitched the hole closed.
This was seriously so fun to make and just made me happy while making it.

On the outside I added the #12 using white puffy number stickers and a phrase from the perforated phrases in the Main Kit.

Vintage Ali in the house. Loved this, reminded me so much of back in the day when you used word strip stickers regularly. Remember some of your original Week In A Life albums? Fun to see this throwback. You taught me to stack word stickers on photos and journaling. This is my 13th DD, can't believe it. I loved it from the get go. Thanks, Ali

Oh this is awesome! I've not planned my wrapping paper yet. I'm still working through rolls I bought years ago and assuming I'll have enough! eek!

LOVE this! Question: Are you using a regular sewing machine and needle? I love the idea of sewing on paper but have never done it before.

Hi - yes, pretty sure it's just a regular needle!

Hey everyone! I’ll admit, I wasn’t planning to join any dating platforms again after a few boring experiences elsewhere. But one night, while scrolling through random forums, someone mentioned a place for a sex link up https://www.tenderbang.com/adult-hookup.html that didn’t feel fake or overcomplicated. Curiosity got me, and I gave it a go. To my surprise, it was full of real people who were actually open about what they wanted — no endless chatting, no catfishing. I ended up talking to this confident woman nearby, and we clicked instantly. It’s wild how quickly things escalated from a casual chat to a very fun, very real meet-up.

I love how you turned a simple wrapping paper photo into such a playful, interactive half-circle shaker! I’ve always enjoyed adding layers and movement to my December Daily® pages, and your idea of using word/phrase stickers on top really inspires me. Seeing your process—especially stitching the sequins and stars inside—makes me want to try something similar this year. I also appreciate the reminder that not every page needs a long story; sometimes the visual and tactile elements speak for themselves. For a fun twist, I’ve been experimenting with digital tools like ai girlfriend create at https://lovescape.com/ to add interactive journaling elements.
