December Daily® 2020 | Story Twenty-One

For my 21st story in my 2020 December Daily® album I'm using the prompt "Today I..." This is a prompt I've used in a variety of projects (in a variety of styles) over the years. It gets to the heart of my love for everyday documentation and storytelling and is an easy way to capture a variety of facts + feelings from your day.

I think one of my favorite parts about this one was listing out what I picked up at the grocery store. Those are the kinds of things I think are really fun to look back on in the future. In past year's I've had handwritten grocery lists that I've included which is another fun way to tell a similar kind of story.

Let's dive in and take a look how this came together:

Now let's take a closer look via images:

For today's story I decided to pair on the of the 3x8 transparencies with a journal block (sized to 3 inches x 8.25 inches) to hold my story.

I printed my journaling by creating a black box and then selecting white for the color of my text. The font today is Mom's Typewriter. Before running the pieces through my sewing machine with red thread I adhered a second photo to the back of my journaling block (see photo below).

On the back of the felt zero from story twenty I added a chipboard piece from the Main Kit.

On top of the tree transparency I added puffy numbers, a cork star, and a glass star from Tim Holtz.

Along the top I added one of the black tabs (stapled with a Tiny Attacher) and then added a "good cheer" chipboard from the Chipboard Bundle to the photo.
