Alphas Are Awesome 26 | Project Idea
Tags:
We've got a new Alphas Are Awesome stamp set in the shop and I've got a new project idea for you using this fun upper/lowercase set.
Let's dive in to the video:
Here are additional images:

The first jumping off point for this project was the stamp set and the second jumping off point was a random piece of cardstock I'd previously cut into a giant scallop. I was curious about using the scallop on top of the vellum and then stamping my title onto the vellum.
What started with those three things ended up looking like this:

The large scallop border is actually an original watercolor I'd created in the past. I folded it in half and then cut the scallops so that they would be the same on both sides. On the vellum I used the new stamps to create a playful title by mixing and matching the upper and lowercase letters. In between each word I added machine stitching. The vellum was stitched to a cut up 2x2 page protector in order to create homes for my additional 2x2 photos and journaling. My journaling was printed on vellum before cropping to 2x2.
And how fun is that flower stitching? That's a setting on my sewing machine! All you have to do is select the stitching you want and put your foot on the peddle. It's so cool.
In addition to all the options you can see here, it can also do the alphabet. I need to test that out!

My second page is a full page photo and I added a couple more 2x2 images to the back of the pockets. Pom trim finishes it off along the outside edge.

I love the pop of yellow and the mixed media flowers. What a playful layout. I would love to see more layouts where we can use our mixed media stash of papers. Thanks for always inspiring me to do different things.
