Week In The Life™ 2025 | Ali's Saturday

Welcome to my Saturday words + photos post for Week In The Life™ 2025.
It was one of those magical, hot early summer Saturday's where the possibilities of the season feel endless.
One more day of documenting for this project! We've got this!
Here's a look at my Saturday:
In this season, Saturday's are sometimes for sleeping in and sometimes for club volleyball.
In this season, most mornings begin outside.
In this season there are lots of watering needs and I enjoy the task (until the end of the summer when I'm burned out). I like experimenting in the yard and this time I'm trying some dahlias in a raised bed along the house.
In every season Betty is a fan of peanut butter.
And swimming.
On Saturday I set up a little inflatable pool for the next couple of months. I love sitting out there in the late afternoon on really hot days.
In this season, Saturday was for the yard and for art. My friend Sarah came over to work on crafting projects. She was making some invites and I was doing more watercolors. We love sitting together and chatting. Our first spot got too sunny so we moved over to a table behind the garage by the shed.

Thankful, always thankful.

I love how this photo is a combo of yard + art.

Simon sent this one of him recreating an iconic scene from the movie Goonies. He's in Astoria this weekend where most of the movie was filmed for a big Goonies weekend celebration. Love this for him.
After a morning of art it was time for an afternoon doing almost noting either in this little pool or on an outdoor couch I moved over into the grass (for shade).
The magnolias are showing off.
It was a really nice, relaxing day. Much needed.
Betty looked for shade too. It was 88 yesterday. I also love the peekaboo into the other areas of the yard through the giant wisteria that made me want to buy this house even more back in 2010.
And in this season, and for the last number of years, this is one of my favorite views. It means I'm laying down on a couch or in the little pool just looking up to the blue sky and watching the branches dance in the breeze.
And here's a look at my notebook:

Looks like you had a wonderful early-summer day! Just finished WITL for the first time after intending to participate MANY times! Loved doing this - used materials from past WITL kits as well as past story kits. Had a blast telling stories and documenting everyday stuff. Thank you, Ali and team, for continuing to encourage us!

Gorgeous Ali, It was cold here and Thursday PTSD hit hard, feeling a little better today. The sun is shining again and I am thinking a structure would be easy for me in this season. I will try again, right now it would be a 3 days in my life project. Any tips? thank you...

I downloaded the https://casinomate-login.com/app app after a friend told me how convenient it was. Playing on my phone became a favorite pastime, especially with simple games that don’t require hours of focus. After a losing streak, a win came through that made me glad I stuck around. It’s a solid way to enjoy a bit of gaming whenever I want.

You've set a lovely, anticipatory tone for the weekend, emphasizing the "magical, hot early summer" feeling where possibilities seem "endless." It's clear you're cherishing these moments. https://www.yourtexasbenefitse.com

I really enjoy these roundup posts — they’re a great way to catch inspiration and discover creative ideas I might have missed. I love how each link or tip sparks small but meaningful ways to document life and stay creative. It actually reminded me a bit of Escape Road
, where paying attention to little details and thoughtful planning can make the whole journey more enjoyable and rewarding. Thanks for putting this together!
