Day In The Life 2025™ | Special Guest Jill Drangsholt

Hi friends! Jill here. For my Day in the Life documenting day, I chose Saturday September 27th. I chose that day because my son was going to be here and I thought since it was not a busy day that I'd have plenty of time to take photos throughout the day. It did not exactly turn out that way!

I should not be surprised that I wanted to relax and not worry about photo taking in the morning and also not take away from my evening with my son by taking sneaky photos of us. So my documenting ended up only being from about 9am to 4:30pm. And I am 100% okay with that! The finished project still shows a great glimpse of our weekend day with plenty of photos. I officially give you permission to choose whatever documenting window works for you!
PRE DOCUMENTATION PAGE SET UP:

I created this transparency title page because I wanted a way to use the transparency and the chip board since my simple page protector layout did not leave much room for extra embellishments. I sewed a piece of green patterned paper (from the Watercolor Scrapbook Kit) to the top of the transparency to make my page 12 inches tall and then adhered 4 of the chipboards stacked on top of each other. I staple two of them on so that the bottom one did not show adhesive on the back.

On the back of my title page, I cut out the top of the prompt page and adhered it onto another piece of that green paper along with a September tab from my stash.
FINAL PROJECT WALK THROUGH:
See how my final project came together and hear a bit about my photos in the video below.
For most of my DITL projects, I have put the whole project in a single page protector using only 3x4 pockets. I find this layout to be simple to put together and it also simplifies my photo taking knowing that I need only vertical shots. In the past I have used the Design F Project Life page protector, but this time I decided to try Ali's 9x12 with all 3x4 pockets. This will give me room for all 8 journal cards and 10 photos. Perfect!

To embellish these pages, I chose to staple glitter silver stars (from my December Daily stash) to the inside of the zeros on the cards and then add a few word phrase stickers from the kit to just the center photos on each side. I did not feel the need to embellish further than that and love the simplicity of it!
Here are full photos of the front and back of my final project:
