Welcome to Story 08 in my 2025 December Daily® project.
Today's story prompt is "in this season" and I'm using one of the papers from the Prompt Paper Pack as the jumping off point for my documenting. My foundation for this one includes the backs of the 4 inch x 4 inch cards from Story 07 along with a vertical transparency stitched along the inside edge of the prompt paper.
I saved my PDF journaling template and a layered photoshop file for your photos if you'd like to make something similar. Download the digital package here.
Let's dive in to the video:
Here are some additional details along with photos of my completed spread:

Let's start with looking at the backs of Story 07. On the top card I printed my journaling on sticker paper before adding it directly to the card.

I had this wood veneer eight in my stash of old, large numbers. It felt like today was as a good a time as any to put it to good use. I'm pretty sure these were either an add on or part of a past Week In The Life™ kit.
On top of the eight I stapled an "in this season" die cut from the Main Kit.

For today's story not only did I document some "in this season" items, I also wrote about why I like this kind of story.

For the second part of this spread I'm working on top of the "in this season" prompt paper. I printed my nine photos 1.5 inch x 1.75 inch.

To tell more of the story I also typed up and printed out journaling to go with each photo. I set up my canvas so that there was space above each piece of journaling in order to create flip-ups. I printed all those little journaling pieces on one 8.5 inch x 11 inch piece of regular printer paper.

After printing and cutting up each of my journaling flip ups, I stamped and embossed three different images three different times. I used the holly and bell stamp from this set and the "fa la la" pattern from this set. I embossed each one using a red, a cream, and a gold.

Essentially each row includes the holly, the fa la la, and the bell.

After embossing all the undersides of the flips ups I added these super cute mini labels to each of the fa la la embossed designs. On top of those I stamped
this month" from the Label Maker Stamp set.

On top of the embossed bells I added more of the awesome bow stickers.

And on top of the holly I added the white/cream phrase stickers.

I really love how this one came together! A really nice combination of words, photos and playful craftiness.

Ali, is there anyway that you could give us the template that you used for your journaling and flip ups. It would save me a lot of time. Lol. I love this page. I am learning my way around Photoshop, but it takes me a while.

Hi! I added that near the top of the post. I included a PDF of the journaling outline and then a layered Photoshop file for the photos.

I love that you can still see the bell through your journaling on the card above the number 8. Tim Holtz has some great embossing Glazes in several greens. I love rustic wilderness for a dark green. Thank you for another great idea! Thank you for the template!

I love this one with so many stories and journaling! I will definitely be using this idea also. I am starting to wish I purchased the cute little bow stickers now. Ahhh!

Instead of looking for a specific color of embossing powder, use your stamping ink pads. Instead of using versamark ink, you can actually use any pigment ink (this includes all of Ali's inks or distress oxides), then use a clear embossing powder on top.
