December Daily® 2025 | Ali’s Story 09

Welcome to Story 09 in my 2025 December Daily® project.

The second page of this spread was first created as a project for our Product Play workshop this year. I used the digital version of the film strips and printed them on fabric paper. Full details on how I built that page originally can be found in the workshop content.

Today's theme is about "planning." You can download a PDF of the planning rectangles here.

This is a spread that could totally incorporate photos or you can follow my lead and simply play with some products/element and write pieces of your story. You can also split these page ideas into two separate stories vs. creating a spread. Make it work for you!

Let's dive in to the video:

Here are additional images:

This spread begins with a flip up using one of the 4 inch x 4 inch frames from the Main Kit. To create the window I used the "happy christmas" transparency from the Journal Card + Transparency pack. On top I added one of the plastic presents and the "magical moments" die cut from the Main Kit (ran those two pieces together through my sewing machine).

I used a piece of cardstock to create the flip up which is adhered in-between the transparency and the frame and then behind the journal card.

I set up my journaling in a circle and printed it on sticker paper before adding it on top of one of the 4 inch x 4 inch journal cards. I added star brad to the top.

This page was just waiting for photos or words. Today what made the most sense for me was to add words.

To link the two pages together I ended up adding cut up pattern paper + cut up frame + a stamped "December story" partial circle sticker to the tops of the folded "planning" journaling pieces.

On top of each of the plastic labels I added a plastic star and a white number sticker.

Download the digital file above in order to print out the "planning" rectangles that can be folded and added to the spaces within the slide frames.

I added my journaling before printing and then added the plastic presents on the inside flip-up.

For the story number I added more of the "happy christmas" transparency + the plastic number nine along with a cut up piece of another one of the frames. I liked linking the color of the frame on the first page of the spread with this second page.

Ah yeah! The underside of these could be a great place for some of those clear floral stickers!

Those presents are so cut on the inside of the flip-ups!
