December Daily® 2025 | Ali’s Story 12

Welcome to Story 12 in my 2025 December Daily® project.

Happy to be back home after a whirlwind adventure with Anna in Portland for a club volleyball tournament. I started working on this one before I left and enjoyed finishing it up today.

Let's jump into the process video:

For Story 12 I wanted to do a couple things:

  1. Create a shaker background. I have a white cardstock base with the 2025 December Daily® transparency on top. I ran both pages through my sewing machine to attach them together and added a sequin mix from The Diary Of Belle Rose before stitching it closed.

  2. I wanted to use the scalloped ovals from the Main Kit. I decided to turn them over and use the back side as a home for a stamped title, gold puffy number and 1/2 oval photo (photoshop template available for you to download below). I used a Tiny Attacher to staple the gold puffy numbers in place.

  3. Pair my shaker page/oval grid with the Around Here prompt paper (digital available if you want to print at home). I embossed the number on the second page to match the embossing I did on the back of an oval on the first page.

I created a Photoshop template for the 1/2 ovals and you can download that here if you like this idea. I masked my photos inside the ovals and then printed them out before cutting them out and adding them on top.

For the middle scalloped oval I used Ranger Green Tinsel Embossing Powder (thanks to Ranger for sending me some new options). I covered the back of one of the scalloped ovals completely with the embossing powder and then added a chipboard circle on top. I ran it through the sewing machine for some added texture.

For the "around here" journaling page I embossed a stamped number twelve using the same tinsel embossing powder as I used on the first page. I added the "loving these things" die cut word art on top using foam adhesive. I stapled numbers under each of the "around here" titles, used a Kuretake brush pen to add the titles, and then used a Fineliner .03 pen for a little more of the story.
